“ I will destroy everything from the face of the earth,” says the LORD.

I will utterly sweep away everything from the surface of the earth, says Yahweh.

耶和华说，‘我要照犹大王所读的那书上的一切话，降灾难给这地方及这里的居民。因为他们背弃我，给别的神明烧香，制造偶像惹我发怒，我的怒火要在这地方燃烧，绝不止息。

然而，大地要因地上居民的罪恶而荒凉。

你要告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，那些住在废墟中的必死于刀下，逃到田野的必被野兽吞吃，躲进堡垒和洞穴的必死于瘟疫。我要使这片土地荒凉不堪，使她所夸耀的势力消逝。以色列的山必荒凉，杳无人迹。因为他们所行的一切可憎之事，我必使这地方荒凉不堪，那时他们就知道我是耶和华。’

这就应验了耶和华借耶利米之口所说的话：这片土地享受了安息，它在荒凉中守安息，直到满了七十年。

至于那些坏得不能吃的无花果，耶和华这样说，‘犹大王西底迦及其官员，以及留在耶路撒冷和埃及的人在我眼中就像坏得不能吃的无花果。我必丢弃他们，使他们的遭遇令天下万国惊惧。在我流放他们去的地方，他们必受凌辱、嘲笑、讥讽和咒诅。我要使战争、饥荒和瘟疫临到他们，直到他们在我赐给他们和他们祖先的土地上灭亡。’”

看啊，我要吩咐他们回来攻占这城，将它付之一炬，我要使犹大的城邑荒无人烟。这是耶和华说的。’”

说：“我要把所造的人从地上除掉，连同一切飞禽走兽和爬虫都除掉，我后悔造了他们。”

耶路撒冷啊，你要接受告诫，否则我要离弃你，使你荒无人烟。”万军之耶和华说：“敌人要把以色列的余民掳掠一空，如同人摘葡萄摘得一个不剩。”

我说：“主啊，这要到什么时候呢？”祂说：“直到城邑荒凉，无人居住，房屋空置，土地荒废的时候。

论到犹大王约雅敬，你要这样写，‘耶和华说，你把卷轴烧掉，还说为什么上面写着巴比伦王必来毁灭这地方和其中的人畜。
