當耶路撒冷和它四圍的城市都有人居住、而且優遊興盛，南地和低原也都有人居住時，永恆主的話、由從前的神言人經手宣告的、你們不應當聽麼？』

這些話語難道不是耶和華藉著先前的眾先知所宣告的嗎？那時，耶路撒冷和四圍的各城都有人居住，並且很安穩，南地和高地也有人居住。』」

耶和華藉古先知所宣之言、爾不宜聽之乎、其時耶路撒冷及四周之邑、有居民、且興盛、南土平原、亦有居民焉、○

昔耶路撒冷及四周之邑、南方平原、隨在有民居處、無不安綏、我耶和華使古先知、不既言之詳乎、

昔耶路撒冷及四圍之邑、尚有居民享平康、南方與平原平原或作窪地尚有人居、此言主豈未曾藉古先知宣告於眾乎、

Are these not the words the Lord proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills were settled?’”

Didn’t I tell you the same thing through the earlier prophets? That was when Jerusalem and the towns around it were at rest and enjoyed success. People lived in the Negev Desert and the western hills at that time.’ ”

Were not these the words that the Lord proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and prosperous, with her cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’”

Isn’t this the same message the Lord proclaimed through the prophets in years past when Jerusalem and the towns of Judah were bustling with people, and the Negev and the foothills of Judah were well populated?’”

Aren’t these the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and secure, along with its surrounding cities, and when the southern region and the Judean foothills were inhabited?”

Are these not the words which the Lord proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and carefree along with its cities around it, and the Negev and the foothills were inhabited?’ ”

Should you not have obeyed the words which the Lord proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem and the cities around it were inhabited and prosperous, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?’”

Should ye not hear the words which Jehovah cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?

Aren’t these the words that the Lord proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and secure, along with its surrounding cities, and when the southern region and the Judean foothills were inhabited?”

[ Should ye] not[ hear] the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when[ men] inhabited the south and the plain?

Should you not have obeyed the words that the LORD cried out through the former prophets when Jerusalem was peacefully inhabited and her surrounding cities, the Negev, and the Shephelah were also populated?

Aren’t these the words which Yahweh proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’”

也必有人從猶大城邑和耶路撒冷四圍的各處，從便雅憫地、高原、山地，並南地而來，都帶燔祭、平安祭、素祭，和乳香，並感謝祭，到耶和華的殿去。

你們要洗濯、自潔，從我眼前除掉你們的惡行，要止住作惡，學習行善，尋求公平，解救受欺壓的；給孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辨屈。耶和華說：你們來，我們彼此辯論。你們的罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。你們若甘心聽從，必吃地上的美物，若不聽從，反倒悖逆，必被刀劍吞滅。這是耶和華親口說的。

在便雅憫地、耶路撒冷四圍的各處、猶大的城邑、山地的城邑、高原的城邑，並南地的城邑，人必用銀子買田地，在契上畫押，將契封緘，請出見證人，因為我必使被擄的人歸回。這是耶和華說的。」

我只吩咐他們這一件說：『你們當聽從我的話，我就作你們的神，你們也作我的子民。你們行我所吩咐的一切道，就可以得福。』

「你們若實在改正行動作為，在人和鄰舍中間誠然施行公平，

南地和棕樹城耶利哥的平原，直到瑣珥，都指給他看。

當趁耶和華可尋找的時候尋找他，相近的時候求告他。惡人當離棄自己的道路；不義的人當除掉自己的意念。歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐恤他；當歸向我們的神，因為神必廣行赦免。

不知羞恥的國民哪，你們應當聚集！趁命令沒有發出，日子過去如風前的糠，耶和華的烈怒未臨到你們，他發怒的日子未到以先，你們應當聚集前來。

沒有聽從你僕人眾先知奉你名向我們君王、首領、列祖，和國中一切百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，我們是臉上蒙羞的；因我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，並以色列眾人，或在近處，或在遠處，被你趕到各國的人，都得罪了你，正如今日一樣。主啊，我們和我們的君王、首領、列祖因得罪了你，就都臉上蒙羞。主－我們的神是憐憫饒恕人的，我們卻違背了他，也沒有聽從耶和華－我們神的話，沒有遵行他藉僕人眾先知向我們所陳明的律法。以色列眾人都犯了你的律法，偏行，不聽從你的話；因此，在你僕人摩西律法上所寫的咒詛和誓言都傾在我們身上，因我們得罪了神。他使大災禍臨到我們，成就了警戒我們和審判我們官長的話；原來在普天之下未曾行過像在耶路撒冷所行的。這一切災禍臨到我們身上是照摩西律法上所寫的，我們卻沒有求耶和華－我們神的恩典，使我們回頭離開罪孽，明白你的真理。所以耶和華留意使這災禍臨到我們身上，因為耶和華－我們的神在他所行的事上都是公義；我們並沒有聽從他的話。

所以主耶和華說：「以色列家啊，我必按你們各人所行的審判你們。你們當回頭離開所犯的一切罪過。這樣，罪孽必不使你們敗亡。你們要將所犯的一切罪過盡行拋棄，自做一個新心和新靈。以色列家啊，你們何必死亡呢？主耶和華說：我不喜悅那死人之死，所以你們當回頭而存活。」

以色列啊，你要歸向耶和華－你的神；你是因自己的罪孽跌倒了。當歸向耶和華，用言語禱告他說：求你除淨罪孽，悅納善行；這樣，我們就把嘴唇的祭代替牛犢獻上。我們不向亞述求救，不騎埃及的馬，也不再對我們手所造的說：你是我們的神。因為孤兒在你－耶和華那裏得蒙憐憫。

你們當就近我來；側耳而聽，就必得活。我必與你們立永約，就是應許大衛那可靠的恩典。

我朝見耶和華，在至高神面前跪拜，當獻上甚麼呢？豈可獻一歲的牛犢為燔祭嗎？耶和華豈喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？我豈可為自己的罪過獻我的長子嗎？為心中的罪惡獻我身所生的嗎？世人哪，耶和華已指示你何為善。他向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你行公義，好憐憫，存謙卑的心，與你的神同行。

你們要求善，不要求惡，就必存活。這樣，耶和華－萬軍之神必照你們所說的與你們同在。要惡惡好善，在城門口秉公行義；或者耶和華－萬軍之神向約瑟的餘民施恩。

在山地的城邑、高原的城邑、南地的城邑、便雅憫地、耶路撒冷四圍的各處，和猶大的城邑必再有羊羣從數點的人手下經過。這是耶和華說的。」

「你取一書卷，將我對你說攻擊以色列和猶大，並各國的一切話，從我對你說話的那日，就是從約西亞的日子起直到今日，都寫在其上。或者猶大家聽見我想要降與他們的一切災禍，各人就回頭，離開惡道，我好赦免他們的罪孽和罪惡。」

你興盛的時候，我對你說話；你卻說：我不聽。你自幼年以來總是這樣，不聽從我的話。

所以你要對以色列人說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們要轉向我，我就轉向你們。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。不要效法你們列祖。從前的先知呼叫他們說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：『你們要回頭離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽，也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。你們的列祖在哪裏呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？只是我的言語和律例，就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們列祖嗎？他們就回頭，說：『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行，他已照樣行了。』」
