by asking the priests of the house of the Lord Almighty and the prophets,“ Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They went to the prophets and priests at the Lord’ s temple. They asked them,“ Should we mourn and go without eating in the fifth month? That’s what we’ve done for many years.”

saying to the priests of the house of the Lord of hosts and the prophets,“ Should I weep and abstain in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They were to ask this question of the prophets and the priests at the Temple of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ Should we continue to mourn and fast each summer on the anniversary of the Temple’s destruction, as we have done for so many years?”

by asking the priests who were at the house of the LORD of Armies as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

speaking to the priests who belong to the house of the Lord of armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Shall I weep in the fifth month and fast, as I have done these many years?”

and to ask the priests who were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month and fast as I have done for so many years?”

and to speak unto the priests of the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking the priests who were at the house of the Lord of Hosts as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

[ And] to speak unto the priests which[ were] in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking both the priests of the temple of the LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL and the prophets,“ Should we weep in the fifth month, fasting as we have done over the years?”

and to speak to the priests of the house of Yahweh of Armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”

四五七十月間、猶大家禁食之時、將為欣喜歡忭之節期、惟爾所專務者、真實和平而已、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

維彼祭司、宜有智慧、既為萬有之主耶和華所遣、人當就彼、諮諏法度、

親上帝、則上帝親爾、惡者盥手、疑者洗心、當自苦哀泣、勿笑宜哭、勿喜宜憂、主前宜自卑、主將升爾、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年、五月七日、其臣僕侍衛長、尼布撒剌擔至耶路撒冷。燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年、五月十日、其臣僕侍衛長尼布撒喇擔至耶路撒冷、燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、侍衛長率迦勒底軍、墮耶路撒冷城垣之四周、

祭司在耶和華前、供厥役事、當於廡下祭壇間、澘然出涕、曰、耶和華與、斯民也、本屬乎爾、求爾寛宥、不致蒙羞、為異邦人所統轄、異邦人凌侮之、曰、爾之上帝安在、亦奚以為、

勿相奪時、惟彼此悅意、暫務禁食祈禱、則可、後仍相聚、恐情不能禁、見誘於撒但、

見祭司利未人、或在位之刑官、請其諮諏、為爾聽訟、彼在耶和華特簡之室、指示其故、爾必遵言以行。彼以法度典章、明告於爾、爾必遵循、勿偏於左、勿偏於右。

云、爾歷七十年、五月七月間、禁食哭泣、豈為我乎、

遍境舉哀、各家異室而居、大闢家及其妻異室而居、拿單家及其妻異室而居、利未家及其妻異室而居、示每家及其妻異室而居、所遺之家、及其妻異室而居。

今萬有之主耶和華、頒厥詔命、使爾號哭、薙髮衣麻、惟爾欣喜歡忭、宰牛殺羊、食肉飲酒、曰、寧圖飲食、明日死至矣。

民聞書所云、咸哭、方伯尼希米、選士祭司以士喇、與訓民之利未人、告眾曰、今乃聖日、奉事爾之上帝耶和華、毋哀哭。汝往哉、食其珍錯、飲其甘旨、無者頒之、此乃聖日、奉事耶和華、勿復殷憂、惟賴耶和華、眾姓臚歡。利未人慰藉斯民曰、今乃聖日、當靜默、毋殷憂、

萬有之主耶和華曰、當問法於祭司曰、

耶穌曰、新娶者在、賀娶者豈有哀慟乎、惟將來新娶者別之去、時乃禁食耳、

有時可哭、有時可笑、有時可哀、有時可躍、

當教我民、必別聖與不聖、潔與不潔、有訟事、必當鞫問、遵我法度、在大會中必守我禮儀、法度、以我安息日為聖日、

七月二十四日、以色列族咸集、禁食、衣麻、蒙塵、與異邦人絕交、卓然自立、自任己過、及列祖愆尤。是日一時四刻、立於其次、誦上帝耶和華律例之書、又一時四刻、任罪崇拜上帝。

彼以爾典章、示雅各後裔、以爾律法、誨以色列族、彼將炷香於爾前、燔祭於爾壇。

民不知道、以至滅亡、惟爾祭司、厭棄真理、故我棄爾、不為祭司、爾既忘我法度、我不佑爾後人、
