耶和华必在他们上面显现，祂的箭如闪电射出。主耶和华必吹响号角，乘南方的暴风而来。

以下是关于海边沙漠的预言：敌人从可怕的沙漠之地上来，好像狂风扫过南部的旷野。

以色列人啊，我要使一个国家，一个历久不衰的古国从远方来攻击你们，你们不明白他们的语言，也听不懂他们说的话。这是耶和华说的。

所以，我要在战争的吶喊声中，在暴风雨吹袭的时候，降火在拉巴的城墙上，烧毁它的城堡。

看啊，耶和华的怒气必如风暴一样横扫过来，刮到恶人头上。

那时，耶和华必对这群百姓和耶路撒冷人说：“一阵热风从荒野光秃的山头吹向我的子民，不是为扬场、吹净糠秕。那是我发出的一阵强风。现在我要宣告我对他们的审判。”

执政第二十三年，他的护卫长尼布撒拉旦掳去七百四十五名犹大人。总共四千六百人。

他们说：“你和耶利米都要藏起来，不可让人知道你们在哪里。”

“耶和华要使一国从遥远的地极兴起，他们要如鹰飞来袭击你们。你们不懂他们的语言。

耶和华不轻易发怒，有伟大的能力。耶和华断不以有罪的为无罪。祂行走在旋风和暴风中，云彩是祂脚下的尘土。

他们的军队如旋风而至，要驱散我们，他们以暗中吞噬贫民为乐，但你用他们的矛刺透他们的头颅。

这就应验了耶和华借耶利米之口所说的话：这片土地享受了安息，它在荒凉中守安息，直到满了七十年。

我要把你们驱散到各国，还要拔刀追杀你们。你们的土地将荒废，城邑将沦为废墟。

因此，我的怒火在犹大的城邑和耶路撒冷的街上燃烧，使它们沦为废墟，正如今日一样。’

主啊，你一向公义，求你不要向你的耶路撒冷城——你的圣山发烈怒。由于我们的罪恶和我们祖先的过犯，耶路撒冷和你的子民成了四围邻人嘲讽的对象。我们的上帝啊，求你垂听仆人的祷告祈求，为你自己的缘故，笑颜垂顾你荒凉的圣所。我的上帝啊，求你侧耳垂听，睁眼眷顾我们荒凉的土地和属于你名下的城。我们向你祈求，并非因为我们有什么义行，乃是因为你充满怜悯。

其中一个角又长出一个小角，向南方、东方和佳美之地扩张势力。

刹那间，荆棘还没有把锅烧热的工夫，上帝必除灭他们。

虽然万民喧嚣如汹涌的洪水，但上帝一声斥责，他们便逃往远方，像山顶上被风卷走的糠秕，又如狂风刮走的尘埃。

万军之耶和华说：“看啊，灾难正蔓延到列国，有暴风从地极卷起。”到那日，遍地都是被耶和华杀戮的人，无人哀悼、收殓和埋葬，他们好像地上的粪便。

我要让野兽残害你们的子女，吞噬你们的牲畜，使你们人口锐减，路上杳无人迹。

看啊，耶和华要在火中降临，祂的战车好像旋风。祂要发烈怒，用火焰惩罚。
