鐵石其心、不聽法律、與萬軍之耶和華以其神藉古先知所傳之言、緣此、萬軍之耶和華大發其怒、

剛愎厥心、同於鐵石、不聽法度、我耶和華、以我神感古先知、遣之告眾、惟彼不聽、故我萬有之主耶和華、震怒特甚。

They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.

They made their hearts as hard as the hardest stone. They wouldn’t listen to the law. They wouldn’t pay attention to the Lord’ s messages. So the Lord who rules over all was very angry. After all, his Spirit had spoken to his people through the earlier prophets.

你警告他們，要他們轉向你的律法；但他們狂妄自大，不聽從你的誡命，犯罪干犯你的典章。人應遵行這些典章，按照它們生活，他們卻固執地扭轉肩頭，硬著頸項，不肯聽從。你多年容忍他們，你的靈藉著你的眾先知勸戒他們，他們還是不側耳而聽，所以你把他們交在各地的民族手中。

他們卻戲弄神的使者，藐視他的話，譏誚他的先知，以致耶和華的忿怒臨到他的子民身上，直到無法挽救。

“我要把一顆心賜給他們，把新的靈放在他們裡面；我要從他們肉體中除掉石心，賜給他們肉心，

“‘我必把新心賜給你們，把新靈放在你們裡面；我必從你們的肉體中除去石心，把肉心賜給你們。

這人民十分頑固，心裡剛硬，我差派你到他們那裡去。你要對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說。’

你要使這子民的心思遲鈍（“遲鈍”直譯是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不靈，眼睛昏暗，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，得到醫治。”

以色列眾人都違背了你的律法，偏離了你，不聽從你的話，因此，神的僕人摩西的律法書上所記載的咒詛和誓言，都傾倒在我們身上；我們實在得罪了神。他實現了他的預言，按著他向我們和那些治理我們的官長所說過的話，使大災禍臨到我們身上；耶路撒冷所遇的災禍是在普天之下從未發生過的。

以色列家卻不肯聽從你，因為他們不肯聽從我，整個以色列家都是額堅心硬的。看哪！我要使你的臉像他們的臉一樣堅硬，使你的前額像他們的前額一樣堅硬。我要使你的額好像最堅硬的寶石，比火石更硬。他們雖然是叛逆的民族，你卻不要怕他們，在他們面前，也不要驚惶。”

那落在路旁的，就是人聽了，魔鬼隨即來到，從他們心裡把道奪去，恐怕他們相信就得救了。

因為這人民的心思遲鈍，用不靈的耳朵去聽，又閉上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫好他們。’

“你們頸項剛硬、心和耳都未受割禮的人哪！你們時常抗拒聖靈，你們的祖先怎樣，你們也怎樣。有哪一個先知，你們的祖先不迫害呢？你們殺了那些預先宣告那義者要來的人，現在又把那義者出賣了，殺害了。

這些猶太人殺了主耶穌和眾先知，又把我們趕出來。他們得不到神的喜悅，並且和所有的人作對，阻撓我們向外族人傳道，不讓他們得救，以致惡貫滿盈。神的忿怒終必臨到他們身上。

這些話耶和華不是曾藉著從前的先知宣告了嗎？那時，耶路撒冷和四圍的城鎮都有人居住，很是興旺，南地和高地都有人居住。’”

他心裡有智慧，而且有極大的能力，有誰對他剛硬而平安無事呢？

因為這人民的心思遲鈍，用不靈的耳朵去聽，又閉上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫好他們。’

至於你，你憎恨管教，並且把我的話丟在背後。

猶大王希西家和猶大眾人可曾把他處死呢？希西家不是敬畏耶和華，求他開恩，以致耶和華回心轉意，沒有把他所說的災禍降在他們身上嗎？但我們現在竟自招大禍。”

耶和華啊！你的眼目不是要看誠實的事嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不覺得傷痛；你摧毀他們，他們仍不肯接受管教。他們板著臉，臉皮比磐石還硬，總不肯回轉。

“猶大的罪是用鐵筆銘記的，是用金鋼鑽刻在他們的心版上，和他們（“他們”有古抄本作“你們”）祭壇的角上。

叫他們‘看是看見了，卻不領悟，聽是聽見了，卻不明白，免得他們回轉過來，得到赦免。’”

並且在那些沉淪的人身上，行各樣不義的欺詐，因為他們不領受愛真理的心，使他們得救。因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，叫所有不信真理倒喜愛不義的人，都被定罪。

因為預言不是出於人意的，而是人受聖靈的感動，說出從神而來的話。

就是把他們心裡基督的靈所預先見證，關於基督要受苦難後來得榮耀，是在甚麼時候和怎樣的情況加以考察。他們蒙了啟示，為這些事效力，並不是為自己，而是為你們。現在，藉著傳福音給你們的人，靠著從天上差來的聖靈，把這些事傳給了你們；甚至天使也很想詳細察看這些事。

光來到世上，世人因為自己的行為邪惡，不愛光倒愛黑暗，定他們罪的原因，就在這裡。凡作惡的都恨光，不來接近光，免得他的惡行暴露出來。

因為我知道你是頑固的，你的頸項是鐵的，你的額是銅的，
