Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will become a level plain before him! And when Zerubbabel sets the final stone of the Temple in place, the people will shout:‘ May God bless it! May God bless it!’”

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.

Who[ art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel[ thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone[ thereof with] shoutings,[ crying], Grace, grace unto it.

“ What are you, you great mountain? Because of Zerubbabel you will become a level plain! And he will bring forth the temple capstone with shoutings of‘ Grace! Grace!’ because of this.”

Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of‘ Grace, grace, to it!’”

Look, I am against you, devastating mountain— this is the Lord’s declaration— you devastate the whole earth. I will stretch out My hand against you, roll you down from the cliffs, and turn you into a charred mountain.

Mountains, that you skipped like rams? Hills, like lambs?

The mountains skipped like rams, the hills, like lambs.

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s house will be established at the top of the mountains and will be raised above the hills. Peoples will stream to it,

“ Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah: I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.I will overturn royal thrones and destroy the power of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overturn chariots and their riders. Horses and their riders will fall, each by his brother’s sword.On that day”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts—“ I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, My servant”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and make you like My signet ring, for I have chosen you.” This is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.You will flee by My mountain valley, for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come and all the holy ones with Him.

“ Zerubbabel’s hands have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Hosts has sent me to you.

He stands and shakes the earth; He looks and startles the nations. The age-old mountains break apart; the ancient hills sink down. His pathways are ancient.

And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slaughtered, and You redeemed people for God by Your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and also of the living creatures and of the elders. Their number was countless thousands, plus thousands of thousands.They said with a loud voice: The Lamb who was slaughtered is worthy to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them say: Blessing and honor and glory and dominion to the One seated on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!

Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be made low; the crooked will become straight, the rough ways smooth,

But He looked at them and said,“ Then what is the meaning of this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected— this has become the cornerstone?

Every island fled, and the mountains disappeared.

A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.Every valley will be lifted up, and every mountain and hill will be leveled; the uneven ground will become smooth and the rough places, a plain.

After this I heard something like the loud voice of a vast multitude in heaven, saying: Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God,because His judgments are true and righteous, because He has judged the notorious prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality; and He has avenged the blood of His slaves that was on her hands.A second time they said: Hallelujah! Her smoke ascends forever and ever!Then the 24 elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who is seated on the throne, saying: Amen! Hallelujah!A voice came from the throne, saying: Praise our God, all His slaves, who fear Him, both small and great!Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying: Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, has begun to reign!

This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.

to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

For the Lord of Hosts says this:“ Once more, in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.I will shake all the nations so that the treasures of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord of Hosts.“ The silver and gold belong to Me”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.“ The final glory of this house will be greater than the first,” says the Lord of Hosts.“ I will provide peace in this place”— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

As you were watching, a stone broke off without a hand touching it, struck the statue on its feet of iron and fired clay, and crushed them.Then the iron, the fired clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were shattered and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors. The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

See, I will make you into a sharp threshing board, new, with many teeth. You will thresh mountains and pulverize them and make hills into chaff.

Haven’t you read this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

Jesus answered them,“ I assure you: If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain,‘ Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.

So honor will come to you who believe, but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected— this One has become the cornerstone,

If only You would tear the heavens open and come down, so that mountains would quake at Your presence—as fire kindles the brushwood, and fire causes water to boil— to make Your name known to Your enemies, so that nations will tremble at Your presence!When You did awesome works that we did not expect, You came down, and the mountains quaked at Your presence.

Therefore the Lord God said:“ Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—

What supports its foundations? Or who laid its cornerstonewhile the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The mountains quake before Him, and the hills melt; the earth trembles at His presence— the world and all who live in it.Who can withstand His indignation? Who can endure His burning anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, even rocks are shattered before Him.

They sang with praise and thanksgiving to the Lord:“ For He is good; His faithful love to Israel endures forever.” Then all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s house had been laid.But many of the older priests, Levites, and family leaders, who had seen the first temple, wept loudly when they saw the foundation of this house, but many others shouted joyfully.The people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shouting from that of the weeping, because the people were shouting so loudly. And the sound was heard far away.

The mountains will melt beneath Him, and the valleys will split apart, like wax near a fire, like water cascading down a mountainside.

This house was completed on the third day of the month of Adar in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.Then the Israelites, including the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the exiles, celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy.For the dedication of God’s house they offered 100 bulls, 200 rams, and 400 lambs, as well as 12 male goats as a sin offering for all Israel— one for each Israelite tribe.

Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes?

a sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride, and the voice of those saying, Praise the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good; His faithful love endures forever as they bring thank offerings to the temple of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the Lord.
