“ Where are you going?” I asked.“ To measure Jerusalem,” he answered.“ I want to find out how wide and how long it is.”

我说：“你往哪里去？”他对我说：“要去量耶路撒冷，看有多宽多长。”

我问：“你到哪里去？”他对我说：“要去丈量耶路撒冷，看有多宽多长。”

我问：“你到哪里去？”他对我说：“要去丈量耶路撒冷，看有多宽多长。”

于是我问：“你要去哪里？”他回答说：“去丈量耶路撒冷，看看有多宽多长。”

我问他：“你到哪里去？”他对我说：“我要去量度耶路撒冷，看看有多宽，有多长。”

我說：「你往哪裏去？」他對我說：「要去量耶路撒冷，看有多寬多長。」

我問：「你到哪裏去？」他對我說：「要去丈量耶路撒冷，看有多寬多長。」

我問：「你到哪裏去？」他對我說：「要去丈量耶路撒冷，看有多寬多長。」

於是我問：「你要去哪裡？」他回答說：「去丈量耶路撒冷，看看有多寬多長。」

我問他：“你到哪裡去？”他對我說：“我要去量度耶路撒冷，看看有多寬，有多長。”

我說：『你往哪裏去？』他對我說：『要去量量耶路撒冷，看有多寬，有多長。』

我問：「你要去哪裡呢？」他回答我：「我要去測量耶路撒冷，看看它有多寬，有多長。」

我曰、爾將何之、曰、往度耶路撒冷、而視其長廣、

我曰、爾將何之、曰、欲量度耶路撒冷、知其長廣。

我曰、爾何往、對我曰、欲量度耶路撒冷、視廣幾何、長幾何、

I asked,“ Where are you going?” He answered me,“ To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is.”

Then I said,“ Where are you going?” And he said to me,“ To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”

“ Where are you going?” I asked. He replied,“ I am going to measure Jerusalem, to see how wide and how long it is.”

I asked,“ Where are you going?” He answered me,“ To measure Jerusalem to determine its width and length.”

So I said,“ Where are you going?” And he said to me,“ To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is.”

So I said,“ Where are you going?” And he said to me,“ To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

I asked,“ Where are you going?” He answered me,“ To measure Jerusalem to determine its width and length.”

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what[ is] the breadth thereof, and what[ is] the length thereof.

I asked,“ Where are you going?” He replied,“ To measure Jerusalem in order to determine its width and its length.”

Then I asked,“ Where are you going?” He said to me,“ To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”

“ Give the city an area one and two- thirds miles wide and eight miles long. It will be right next to the sacred area. It will belong to all the people of Israel.

The measuring line will reach out from there. It will go straight to the hill of Gareb. Then it will turn and reach as far as Goah.

The angel who talked with me had a gold measuring rod. He used it to measure the city, its gates and its walls.The city was laid out like a square. It was as long as it was wide. The angel measured the city with the rod. It was 1,400 miles long. It was as wide and high as it was long.The angel measured the wall as human beings measure things. It was 200 feet thick.

But now I am going to the one who sent me. None of you asks me,‘ Where are you going?’

“ Here is a list of the gates of the city.“ Start with its north side. It will be a mile and a half long.The city gates will be named after the tribes of Israel. The north side will have three gates. They will be the gates of Reuben, Judah and Levi.The east side will be a mile and a half long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Joseph, Benjamin and Dan.The south side will be a mile and a half long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Simeon, Issachar and Zebulun.The west side will be a mile and a half long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Gad, Asher and Naphtali.“ The city will be six miles around.“ From that time on, its name will be‘ The Lord Is There.’ ”

“ Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel.

He took me there. I saw a man who appeared to be made out of bronze. He was standing at the gate of the outer courtyard. He was holding a linen measuring tape and a measuring rod.

I was given a long stick that looked like a measuring rod. I was told,“ Go and measure the temple of God. And measure the altar where the people are worshiping.

“ The area that remains is one and two- thirds miles wide. It is eight miles long. It will not be holy. The people in Jerusalem can build houses there. They can use some of it as grasslands. The city will be in the center of it.Each of the four sides of the city will be one and a half miles long.Each of the four sides of the city’s grasslands will be 440 feet long.
