Tell them not to speak evil things against anyone. Remind them to live in peace. They must consider the needs of others. They must always be gentle toward everyone.

They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. (niv)

A hot- tempered person must pay the penalty; rescue them, and you will have to do it again. (niv)
