the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—

又劝老年妇人，举止行动要恭敬，不说谗言，不给酒作奴仆，用善道教训人，

又要劝年长的妇女在操守上恭正，不说谗言，不作酒的奴隶，用善道教导人，

使老婦之舉止端肅、毋讒毀、毋役於酒、以善訓人、

老婦所為、亦當敬虔、勿謠諑、勿嗜酒、宜以善教人、

老婦所為、亦當合乎聖虔、勿讒毀、勿嗜酒、以善教人、

年長婦女、舉止亦宜溫恭有禮、毋道人短、或沉湎於酒、務須循循善誘、

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

In the same way, teach the older women to lead a holy life. They must not tell lies about others. They must not let wine control them. Instead, they must teach what is good.

The aged women likewise, that[ they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.

and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good,

that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

Do not let your adornment be merely outward— arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,

in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.

For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,

Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money,

that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also.

Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.And these things command, that they may be blameless.But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man,well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.
