你从我听到那健全的言论，要用在基督耶稣里的信心和爱心常常守着，作为规范。

这话可信，值得完全接受：“基督耶稣到世上来是要拯救罪人”，而在罪人中我是个罪魁。

若有人传别的教义，不符合我们主耶稣基督纯正的话语与合乎敬虔的教导，

犯淫乱和亲男色的，拐卖人口和说谎话的，并起假誓的，或是为任何违背健全教义的事订立的。

但凡事要察验：美善的事要持守，

至于你，你所讲的总要合乎那健全的教导。

耶和华对撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他那样完全、正直、敬畏上帝、远离恶事。你虽激起我攻击他，无故吞灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”

你当获得真理，不可出卖，智慧、训诲和聪明也是一样。

用温柔劝导反对的人。也许上帝会给他们悔改的心能明白真理，

这话可信，值得完全接受。

若个个都作先知讲道，偶然有不信的或是不懂方言的人进来，就被众人劝戒，被众人审问，

因为时候将到，那时人会厌烦健全的教导，耳朵发痒，就随心所欲地增添好些教师，

亲爱的，我一直很迫切地想要写信给你们，论到我们同享的救恩，但我觉得有必要现在就写信劝你们，要为从前一次交付给圣徒的真道竭力奋斗。

这些人的口必须堵住，因为他们贪不义之财，将不该教导的事教导人，败坏人的全家。

所以，要记得你所领受和听见的；要遵守，并要悔改。你若不警醒，我必如贼一样来到；我几时来到你那里，你绝不会知道。

你们只要持守那已经有的，直到我来。

你在许多见证人面前听见我所教导的，也要交托给那忠心而又能教导别人的人。

我持定我的义，并不放松；在世的日子，我的心不责备我。

因为他在公众面前极力驳倒犹太人，引圣经证明耶稣是基督。

常存信心和无愧的良心。有些人丢弃良心，在信仰上触了礁；

你要显出自己是好行为的榜样，在教导上要正直、庄重，言语健全，无可指责，使那反对的人，因说不出我们有什么不好而自觉羞愧。

我必快来，你要持守你所有的，免得人夺去你的冠冕。
