What is your beloved more than another beloved, O most beautiful among women? What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you thus adjure us?

Why is your lover better than all others, O woman of rare beauty? What makes your lover so special that we must promise this?

王女在宮、備極榮美、被服金繡兮、

耶穌至該撒利亞腓立比境、問其徒曰、人言人子為誰、對曰、或言施洗約翰、或言以利亞、或言耶利米、抑先知之一、曰、爾曹謂我為誰、西門彼得對曰、爾乃基督維生上帝子也、耶穌曰、西門巴約拿福矣、蓋非有血氣者示爾、乃我在天之父也、

惟其僕也、有如條肄、生於其前、亦猶根株、盤於槁壤、無丰度、無威儀、我儕見之、無美可慕、

上帝之邑歟、有榮之事、指爾而言兮、

儻我福音有蔽、惟蔽於淪亡者、斯世之靈、盲其中不信者之心、使基督有榮之福音、光不之照、夫基督上帝像也、我儕所宣非己、乃基督耶穌為主、己則緣耶穌為爾僕耳、蓋命光由暗而照之上帝、已照我心、俾知上帝榮之光、即顯於耶穌基督之面者也、○

既入耶路撒冷、舉城竦動、曰、此為誰、

夫道成人身、寓我儕中、充以恩寵真理、我儕見其榮、如天父獨生子之榮焉、
