The watchmen that go about the city found me:[ to whom I said], Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?

城中巡逻看守的人遇见我；我问他们：“你们看见我心所爱的没有？”

城中巡邏看守的人遇見我；我問他們：你們看見我心所愛的沒有？

城中巡邏的守衛遇見我，「你們看見我心所愛的沒有？」

遇上了城中巡邏的守衛，我就問他們：「你們看到我心愛的人了嗎？」

遇巡城之卒、問之曰、我心所愛者、汝見之乎、

The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city.“ Have you seen the one my heart loves?”

Those on guard duty found me as they were walking around in the city.‘ Have you seen the one my heart loves?’ I asked.

The watchmen found me as they went about in the city.“ Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”

The watchmen stopped me as they made their rounds, and I asked,“ Have you seen the one I love?”

The guards who go about the city found me. I asked them,“ Have you seen the one I love?”

The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.And he saw a chariot[ with] a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses,[ and] a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:

But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take[ any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.When I say unto the wicked, O wicked[ man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked[ man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that[ is] unprofitable for you.

His watchmen[ are] blind: they are all ignorant, they[ are] all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
