拿俄米謂之曰、勿稱我拿俄米、拿俄米譯即樂之義當稱我瑪拉、瑪拉譯即苦之義蓋全能者使我多歷艱苦也、

“ Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara,” she answered,“ for the Almighty has made me very bitter.

But she said to them,“ Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara; for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

“ Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara,” she answered,“ for the Almighty has made me very bitter.

But she replied to them,“ Don’t call me‘ Naomi’! Call me‘ Mara’ because the Sovereign One has treated me very harshly.

She said to them,“ Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

全能之主、射我以矢、其鏃有毒、喪我之神、上帝降災、如軍列陳、環而攻我。

主怒余責予、備嘗艱苦、惟余一人兮。導予入幽暗之途、非光明之域兮。彼屢害予、終日不息兮。肌膚槁枯、骨骸摧折兮、彼沮尼余、如荼如瞻、四面皆是兮。置我於暗地、與久死之人無異兮。藩籬四圍、使我不出、繫我以鐵索兮。我雖籲呼、不得升聞兮。以石塞途、使我行於曲徑兮。主欲執余、有若熊獅、伏於密林兮。忽搏噬予、傷予喪予兮、張弓發矢、以我為的兮。弢中之箭、入我腎腸兮。人姍笑予、日作歌以譏刺兮。主使予食苦荼、餐茵蔯兮。嚙沙石、折余齒兮、陷灰中、氣難息兮。不可得兮平康、不復見兮福祉。我曰、予力困憊、不復望耶和華兮。余也追思禍患、回憶苦境、如荼如膽兮。予心思之、殷憂靡已兮。

凡責我者、我受時憂而不樂、後經練習、則結善果、以致平康、

余命朝不保暮、默而待旦、被斷傷我若獅。

亞伯蘭九十有九歲、時耶和華顯見、曰全能之上帝、我也、爾之所行、當合乎我、務無失德。

上帝所責者、必蒙福祉、全能之主譴爾躬、爾勿輕視。

願全能之上帝、使爾獲寵於其人前、遣爾兄與便雅憫歸、若我喪子、則亦已矣。○

終日罹災害、清晨逢譴責兮。

余自幼遭難、瀕於死亡、爾俾余觳觫、悚然駭懼兮、

主曰、吾始末初終、自昔及今永在、無所不能、

昔我顯現於亞伯拉罕、以撒雅各、稱吾名為全能之上帝、未嘗稱吾名為耶和華。

上帝非可忖度、全能之主、豈得盡知。

其中不見有殿、蓋全能之主上帝、及羔、自為殿、
