But Ruth replied,“ Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.

But Ruth replied,“ Don’t try to make me leave you and go back. Where you go I’ll go. Where you stay I’ll stay. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.

But Ruth said,“ Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.

But Ruth replied: Don’t plead with me to abandon you or to return and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

But Ruth said,“ Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

But Ruth said:“ Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.

And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God;

But Ruth replied: Do not persuade me to leave you or go back and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee,[ or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people[ shall be] my people, and thy God my God:

But Ruth replied,“ Stop urging me to abandon you! For wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God will become my God.

Ruth said,“ Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.

“ Yes, I know,” Boaz replied.“ But I also know about everything you have done for your mother in law since the death of your husband. I have heard how you left your father and mother and your own land to live here among complete strangers.May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.”

But Ittai said to the king,“ I vow by the Lord and by your own life that I will go wherever my lord the king goes, no matter what happens— whether it means life or death.”

But the Lord will have mercy on the descendants of Jacob. He will choose Israel as his special people once again. He will bring them back to settle once again in their own land. And people from many different nations will come and join them there and unite with the people of Israel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.The group of prophets from Bethel came to Elisha and asked him,“ Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?”“ Of course I know,” Elisha answered.“ But be quiet about it.”Then Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Jericho.” But Elisha replied again,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you.” So they went on together to Jericho.Then the group of prophets from Jericho came to Elisha and asked him,“ Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?”“ Of course I know,” Elisha answered.“ But be quiet about it.”Then Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to the Jordan River.” But again Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you.” So they went on together.

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your family far away.

And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:“ I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

for they keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God.

“ But why can’t I come now, Lord?” he asked.“ I’m ready to die for you.”

Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

But he said,“ Why all this weeping? You are breaking my heart! I am ready not only to be jailed at Jerusalem but even to die for the sake of the Lord Jesus.”

“ I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior.

It was the Lord who drove out the Amorites and the other nations living here in the land. So we, too, will serve the Lord, for he alone is our God.”

By this time they were nearing Emmaus and the end of their journey. Jesus acted as if he were going on,but they begged him,“ Stay the night with us, since it is getting late.” So he went home with them.

The king said to Daniel,“ Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.”

They have kept themselves as pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb.

“ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!”
