其实，你们藉着信，在基督耶稣里都成为上帝的儿女。你们凡受洗归入基督的都披戴基督了：不再分犹太人或希腊人，不再分为奴的自主的，不再分男的女的，因为你们在基督耶稣里都成为一了。既然你们属于基督，你们就是亚伯拉罕的子孙，是照着应许承受产业的了。

并且，他受了割礼的记号，作他未受割礼的时候因信称义的印证，为使他作一切未受割礼而信之人的父，使他们也算为义，也使他作受割礼之人的父，就是那些不但受割礼，而且跟随我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕未受割礼而信的足迹的人。因为上帝给亚伯拉罕和他后裔承受世界的应许不是藉着律法，而是藉着信而得的义。若是属于律法的人才是后嗣，信就落空了，应许也就失效了。因为律法是惹动愤怒的，哪里没有律法，哪里就没有过犯。所以，人作后嗣是出于信，因此就属乎恩，以致应许保证归给所有的后裔，不但归给那属于律法的，也归给那效法亚伯拉罕之信的人。亚伯拉罕所信的是那叫死人复活、使无变为有的上帝，在这位上帝面前亚伯拉罕成为我们众人的父，如经上所记：“我已经立你作多国之父。”

当耶和华记录万民的时候，他要写出人的出生地。（细拉）

因为律法上记着，亚伯拉罕有两个儿子，一个是使女生的，一个是自由的妇人生的。那使女所生的是按着肉体生的；那自由的妇人所生的是凭着应许生的。这是比方：那两个妇人就是两个约；一个妇人是出于西奈山，生子为奴，就是夏甲。这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，与现在的耶路撒冷同类，因为耶路撒冷和她的儿女都是为奴的。但另一妇人就是在上的耶路撒冷，是自由的，她是我们的母亲。因为经上记着：“不怀孕、不生养的，你要欢乐；未曾经过产难的，你要高声欢呼；因为没有丈夫的，比有丈夫的有更多的儿女。”弟兄们，你们是凭着应许作儿女的，如同以撒一样。当时，那按着肉体生的迫害了那按着圣灵生的，现在也是这样。然而经上是怎么说的呢？是说：“把使女和她儿子赶出去！因为使女的儿子绝不能与自由妇人的儿子一同承受产业。”弟兄们，这样看来，我们不是使女的儿女，而是自由妇人的儿女了。

因为凡被上帝的灵引导的都是上帝的儿子。

我们不是被他看作外人吗？因为他卖了我们，还吞吃了我们的银钱。

必有后裔事奉他，主所做的事必传给后代。
