惟四體不覺有一法、與吾心之法戰、執我從四體之惡法、

惟覺肢體中別有一法、與我心之法戰、而擄我以從於肢體中罪之法、

然吾又見一法、寓吾肢體之中、與吾心之法、恆相對敵、而囚吾於肢體之罪孽法中。

but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

But I see another law working in me. It fights against the law of my mind. It makes me a prisoner of the law of sin. That law controls me.

but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin, the law which is in my body’s parts.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

因為肉體的私慾和聖靈敵對，聖靈也和肉體敵對；這兩樣互相敵對，使你們不能作自己願意作的。

你們中間的爭執和打鬥是從哪裡來的呢？不是從你們肢體中好鬥的私慾來的嗎？

因為生命之靈的律在基督耶穌裡使我自由，脫離了罪和死的律。

親愛的，我勸你們作客旅和寄居的人，要禁戒肉體的私慾，這私慾是與靈魂爭戰的。

感謝神，藉著我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了。可見，一方面我自己心裡服事神的律，另一方面我的肉體卻服事罪的律。

因為你們肉體的弱點，我就按一般人的話來說，你們從前怎樣把你們的肢體獻給不潔和不法作奴僕，以致於不法，現在也要照樣把你們的肢體獻給義作奴僕，以致於成聖。

求你把我從牢獄中領出來，好讓我稱讚你的名；義人必環繞著我，因為你以厚恩待我。”

因此，我發現了一個律，就是我想向善的時候，惡就在我裡面出現。

也不要把你們的肢體獻給罪，作不義的用具；倒要像出死得生的人，把自己獻給神，並且把你們的肢體獻給神作義的用具。

世上實在沒有一個行善而不犯罪的義人。

我們從前屬肉體的時候，罪惡的情慾藉著律法在我們的肢體裡發動，就結出死亡的果子。

你們與罪惡鬥爭，還沒有對抗到流血的地步；

我們知道律法是屬靈的，我卻是屬肉體的，已經賣給罪了。

以溫柔勸導那些對抗的人，或許神給他們悔改的心，可以認識真理。他們雖然曾經被魔鬼擄去，隨從他的意思而行，或許也能醒悟過來，脫離魔鬼的陷阱。

但你這屬神的人啊，應該逃避這些事，要追求公義、敬虔、信心、愛心、忍耐和溫柔。要為信仰打那美好的仗，持定永生；你是為這永生而蒙召的，又在許多的證人面前承認過美好的信仰。

我們在許多的事上都有過錯，假如有人在言語上沒有過錯，他就是完全的人，也能夠控制全身。
