For what hope does the godless man have when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.And each person will not teach his fellow citizen, and each his brother, saying,“ Know the Lord,” because they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them.For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.

I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit,and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Therefore, since He has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, He has poured out what you both see and hear.

so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

Sustain me as You promised, and I will live; do not let me be ashamed of my hope.

I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.

Kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the ground, and lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am Yahweh; those who put their hope in Me will not be put to shame.

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.

May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace,

He has also sealed us and given us the Spirit as a down payment in our hearts.

All of them are put to shame, even humiliated; the makers of idols go in humiliation together.Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity.

When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.

For you said,“ We have cut a deal with Death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery.”Therefore the Lord God said:“ Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.And I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the mason’s level.” Hail will sweep away the false refuge, and water will flood your hiding place.Your deal with Death will be dissolved, and your agreement with Sheol will not last. When the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be trampled.

And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

For God who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You rescued them.They cried to You and were set free; they trusted in You and were not disgraced.

He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

“ Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?”He said to him,“ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

But if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.

We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.

This is what the Lord says: The man who trusts in mankind, who makes human flesh his strength and turns his heart from the Lord is cursed.He will be like a juniper in the Arabah; he cannot see when good comes but dwells in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one lives.The man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed.He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn’t fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit.

And don’t grieve God’s Holy Spirit. You were sealed by Him for the day of redemption.
