且以一人、在世有罪、因罪而死、於是人皆有罪、人皆有死、

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

蓋罪惡之償值、死亡、上帝之恩賜、永生也、要惟賴吾主耶穌基督為然、

惟別善惡之樹、不可食、食之日必死。○

蓋眾已獲罪、有歉上帝所賜之榮、

欲動生惡、惡盈致死、

必汗流浹面、庶可餬口、逮歸於所出之土而後已。汝身乃土、死則返其本焉。

我母懷妊、生我於世、當此之時、我有罪戾、

罪惡乘權、死者攸係、恩寵稱義乘權、永生可致、要惟賴吾主耶穌基督為然、

婦視其樹、食可適口、觀可娛目、能益智慧、使人生慕、故取果食之、亦以奉夫、夫亦食之。

陰府死所、亦見投於火坑、沒後沉淪者、此也、凡不錄於生命册者、亦見投於火坑、

惟我操世人之權、無論父子、犯者必死。

吾眾數蹈於愆、言語無愆者、是為德備之人、能自範其身、

然自亞當至摩西、及不效尤亞當者、皆死乘權以治之、亞當乃後至者之對也、罪愆不如恩賜、蓋以一人之愆、致眾死亡、孰若上帝之恩、及耶穌基督一人、恩賜於有眾、為高厚乎、定擬由一人之罪、不如恩賜由一人之義、蓋審判由一罪以定擬、恩賜則多罪而稱義、夫以一人之罪、致死乘權、孰若耶穌基督、以一身便獲洪恩者、稱義而生乘權乎、

耶和華上帝曰、人能別善惡、彷佛我儕、恐其舉手、亦折生命樹、食之而永生、故遣其人出埃田囿、以栽植所自出之土、遂逐之出、於埃田囿東置𠼻𡀔［口氷］、與焰劍、指揮莫定、以防範生命樹之途焉。
