其信甚篤、年近百歲、不顧己身已衰、亦不顧撒拉之胎已絕孕、

故雖明知己之將近百歲、精力枯竭、且明知灑蕾之久已絕孕；然信心未因此而稍衰、

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead— since he was about a hundred years old— and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Abraham did not become weak in his faith. He accepted the fact that he was past the time when he could have children. At that time Abraham was about 100 years old. He also realized that Sarah was too old to have children.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead( since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.

And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead— and so was Sarah’s womb.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about a hundred years old) and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

He considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about 100 years old) and also considered the deadness of Sarah’s womb, without weakening in the faith.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without being weakened in faith, he didn’t consider his own body, already having been worn out,( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

亚伯拉罕就俯伏在地，笑了起来，心想：“我一百岁了，还能有孩子吗？撒拉已经九十岁了，还能生养吗？”

撒拉过了生育年龄后凭信心仍然得到了孕育后代的能力，因为她认定赐她应许的上帝言出必行。所以，从一个垂暮之年的人生出许多子孙，好像天上的星、海边的沙那么多。这些人到死都满怀信心。他们虽然没有得到上帝所应许的，却从远处望见了，就欢喜快乐，承认自己在世上不过是寄居的异乡人。他们抱这样的态度，表明他们正在寻找一个家乡。如果他们想念的是自己离开的家乡，就找机会回去了。然而，他们渴慕的是天上更美的家乡。所以，上帝不以被他们称为上帝为耻，因为祂已经为他们预备了一座城。亚伯拉罕被试验时凭信心把以撒献为祭物，承受应许的亚伯拉罕当时献上了自己的独生子。论到这儿子，上帝曾说：“以撒生的才可算为你的后裔。”他认定上帝能使死人复活，从象征意义上说，他也确实从死亡中得回了以撒。

耶稣说：“如果你能？对于相信的人，凡事都有可能！”孩子的父亲立刻喊着说：“我信！但我信心不足，求你帮助我！”

你们的信心太小了！野地里的草今天还在，明天就丢在炉中化为灰烬，上帝还这样装扮它们，何况你们呢？

耶稣答道：“你们的信心太小了，为什么害怕呢？”于是祂起来斥责风和浪，风浪就完全平静了。

耶稣马上伸手拉住他，说：“你信心太小了！为什么怀疑呢？”

无论是吃肉、喝酒还是做任何别的事，如果会绊倒别人，就应该一概不做。

他没有因不信而怀疑上帝的应许，反倒信心更加坚定，将荣耀归给上帝。他完全相信上帝必能实现祂的应许。

亚伯拉罕和撒拉已经年纪老迈，撒拉的月经也已经停了。撒拉暗自发笑，心想：“我已经这么老了，还会有这种福气吗？况且我的丈夫也很老了。”耶和华问亚伯拉罕：“撒拉为什么偷笑说，‘我这把年纪还会有孩子吗？’什么事难得住耶和华呢？明年这时候，我会再来你这里，撒拉必生一个儿子。”

然后对多马说：“把你的指头放在我手上摸摸看，伸出手来摸摸我的肋旁。不要怀疑，要信！”多马回答说：“我的主，我的上帝！”
