我们知道，律法上的一切话都是对律法之下的人讲的，好堵住每个人的口，使全世界的人都在神的审判之下有罪，

然而我們曉得，凡律法所說的，都是對在律法之下的人說的，好讓每一個人都沒有話可講，使全世界的人都伏在神的審判之下。

我們曉得、律法無論說甚麼，都是向律法以內的人講的，好堵住每一個人的口，使全世界的人都伏在上帝審判之下；

我們知道，律法上的一切話都是對律法之下的人講的，好堵住每個人的口，使全世界的人都在神的審判之下有罪，

我儕知律所言、乃為律下者言之、以塞眾口、使舉世服罪於上帝前、

吾儕知律法所言、指法下人言之、以塞諸口、使舉世服罪於上帝前、

我儕知律法所言、為律法下之人言之、以塞諸口、使舉世服罪於天主前、

夫法之所言、所以昭示法內之人、亦所以塞夫人之口、而使舉世皆服罪於天主之前也。

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

What the law says, it says to those who are ruled by the law. Its purpose is to shut every mouth and make the whole world accountable to God.

Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.

凡沒有律法犯了罪的，也必不按律法滅亡；凡在律法以下犯了罪的，也必按律法受審判。（原來在神面前，不是聽律法的為義，乃是行律法的稱義。沒有律法的外邦人若順着本性行律法上的事，他們雖然沒有律法，自己就是自己的律法。這是顯出律法的功用刻在他們心裏，他們是非之心同作見證，並且他們的思念互相較量，或以為是，或以為非。）就在神藉耶穌基督審判人隱祕事的日子，照着我的福音所言。你稱為猶太人，又倚靠律法，且指着神誇口；既從律法中受了教訓，就曉得神的旨意，也能分別是非；

我真知道是這樣；但人在神面前怎能成為義呢？若願意與他爭辯，千中之一也不能回答。

凡以行律法為本的，都是被咒詛的；因為經上記着：「凡不常照律法書上所記一切之事去行的，就被咒詛。」

好使你在我赦免你一切所行的時候，心裏追念，自覺抱愧，又因你的羞辱就不再開口。這是主耶和華說的。」

正直人看見就歡喜；罪孽之輩必塞口無言。

這卻怎麼樣呢？我們比他們強嗎？決不是的！因我們已經證明：猶太人和希臘人都在罪惡之下。

這樣，貧寒的人有指望，罪孽之輩必塞口無言。

你們這願意在律法以下的人，請告訴我，你們豈沒有聽見律法嗎？

但你們若被聖靈引導，就不在律法以下。

這要應驗他們律法上所寫的話，說：『他們無故地恨我。』

向猶太人，我就作猶太人，為要得猶太人；向律法以下的人，我雖不在律法以下，還是作律法以下的人，為要得律法以下的人。向沒有律法的人，我就作沒有律法的人，為要得沒有律法的人；其實我在神面前，不是沒有律法；在基督面前，正在律法之下。

自從造天地以來，神的永能和神性是明明可知的，雖是眼不能見，但藉着所造之物就可以曉得，叫人無可推諉。

耶穌說：「你們的律法上豈不是寫着『我曾說你們是神』嗎？經上的話是不能廢的；若那些承受神道的人尚且稱為神，

凡事大有好處：第一是神的聖言交託他們。

他們聽見這話，就從老到少，一個一個地都出去了，只剩下耶穌一人，還有那婦人仍然站在當中。

使一切有血氣的，在神面前一個也不能自誇。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。於是王對使喚的人說：『捆起他的手腳來，把他丟在外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。』

因為世人都犯了罪，虧缺了神的榮耀；

斷乎不能！不如說，神是真實的，人都是虛謊的。如經上所記：你責備人的時候，顯為公義；被人議論的時候，可以得勝。

你這論斷人的，無論你是誰，也無可推諉。你在甚麼事上論斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪；因你這論斷人的，自己所行卻和別人一樣。我們知道這樣行的人，神必照真理審判他。

但聖經把眾人都圈在罪裏，使所應許的福因信耶穌基督，歸給那信的人。但這因信得救的理還未來以先，我們被看守在律法之下，直圈到那將來的真道顯明出來。

他必保護聖民的腳步，使惡人在黑暗中寂然不動；人都不能靠力量得勝。

要把律法以下的人贖出來，叫我們得着兒子的名分。
