然則爾訓他人、而不訓己乎、爾言勿竊、而自竊乎、

然則爾欲正人、盍先正己！禁人為盜者、豈可自身為盜？

They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men,‘ Rabbi, Rabbi.’But you, do not be called‘ Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord, and say,“ Is not the Lord among us? No harm can come upon us.”

And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

But to the wicked God says:“ What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth,Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you?When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers.You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit.You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes.

And he said to him,‘ Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.

He said to them,“ You will surely say this proverb to Me,‘ Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’”

For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain.

Yes, they are greedy dogs Which never have enough. And they are shepherds Who cannot understand; They all look to their own way, Every one for his own gain, From his own territory.

Hear this, you who swallow up the needy, And make the poor of the land fail,Saying:“ When will the New Moon be past, That we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, That we may trade wheat? Making the ephah small and the shekel large, Falsifying the scales by deceit,That we may buy the poor for silver, And the needy for a pair of sandals— Even sell the bad wheat?”

In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take usury and increase; you have made profit from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me,” says the Lord GOD.“ Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst.

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

And He said to them,“ It is written,‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a‘ den of thieves.’”

But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience;the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded,in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,

And He said,“ Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
