Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves;do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit, but I will sing with the mind also.For otherwise, if you bless God in the spirit only, how will the one who occupies the place of the outsider know to say the“ Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you are saying?For you are giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not edified.

nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to useless speculation rather than advance the plan of God, which is by faith, so I urge you now.

Yet if the unbelieving one is leaving, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.
