在潔淨的人、凡物都潔淨，在染污的和不信的人、甚麼都不潔淨，反而連他們的心思和良知也都染污了。

有人有信心可以喫百物，但也有信心軟弱的人只喫蔬菜。

你可別因食物的緣故來拆毁上帝所造的人了！凡物都是潔淨的；但若有人喫東西而帶着碰倒人的事，這在那人就是惡的了。

彼得說：『主啊，千萬不可；因為各樣俗污不潔淨之物、我從來沒有喫過。』聲音又第二次對他說：『上帝所潔淨的、你別當作俗污了。』

但疑惑的人若喫了，就受定罪，因為不是出於信心：凡不出於信心的都是罪。

倘若有人見你這「有知識的」在偶像廟裏坐席，他的良知若是軟弱，豈不是要「被建立起來！」去喫祭偶像之物麼？

上帝創造之物都是好的；用感謝心領受，沒有一樣是可棄的；

便對他們說：『你們自己也知道猶太族的人和異族人接近或往來，本是違背律例的；但對於我、上帝已經指示、不要說甚麼人是凡俗而不潔淨的。

我說：「主啊，千萬不可！因為俗污或不潔淨之物、從來就沒有進過我的口。」聲音第二次從天上回答說：「上帝所潔淨的、你別當作俗污了。」

凡肉市上所賣的、你們只管喫；為着良知的緣故、不要問甚麼；
