然而你们要谨慎，免得你们这自由成了软弱的人的绊脚石。因为如果有人看见你这有知识的人，在偶像的庙里吃喝，他的良心若是软弱，他不就放胆去吃那祭过偶像的食物吗？因此，基督已经为他死了的那软弱的弟兄，就因你的知识而灭亡了。你们这样得罪弟兄，伤了他们软弱的良心，就是得罪基督了。所以，如果食物使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永远不再吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

就算拿一块大磨石拴在他的颈项上，把他沉在深海里，比他使这小子中的一个犯罪还好。

无论是犹太人，是希腊人，是神的教会，你们总不可使他们跌倒；

“不可判断人，免得你们被判断。

你是谁，竟然批评别人的家仆呢？他或站稳或跌倒，只和自己的主人有关；但他必定站稳，因为主能够使他站稳。

必有人说：“你们要填高，要填高，要修平道路；把障碍物从我子民的路上除掉。”

“这世界有祸了，因为充满使人犯罪的事。这些事是免不了的，但那使人犯罪的有祸了！

你们自己判断一下，女人向神祷告的时候不蒙头，是合适的吗？

然而有几件事我要责备你，因为在你那里有些人持守巴兰的教训。这巴兰曾经教导巴勒把绊脚石放在以色列人面前，叫他们吃祭过偶像的食物，并且行淫乱。

这不是你们对人有歧视，成了心怀恶意的审判官吗？

这样，你为什么批评你的弟兄呢？为什么又轻看你的弟兄呢？我们都要站在神的审判台前；

这是什么缘故呢？因为他们不凭信心，只靠行为。他们绊倒在那绊脚石上，正如经上所记：“看哪，我在锡安放了一块绊脚石，是绊倒人的磐石；信靠他的人，必不致失望。”

只是因为你作了这事，使耶和华的仇敌大得亵渎的机会，所以你所生的儿子必定死。”

使你们可以辨别是非，成为真诚无可指摘的人，直到基督的日子，

因此，我愿年轻的寡妇结婚，生儿育女，管理家务，不给敌人有辱骂的机会；

耶稣转过来对彼得说：“撒但！退到我后面去！你是绊脚石，因为你不思念神的事，只思念人的事。”

原来基督的爱催逼着我们，因为我们断定一个人替众人死了，众人就都死了。

大卫也说：“愿他们的筵席成为他们的网罗、陷阱、绊脚石和报应；

不可咒骂聋子，也不可把绊脚石放在瞎子面前；却要敬畏你的神；我是耶和华。

“人子啊！这些人已经把他们的偶像接到心里去，把那陷他们在罪孽中的绊脚石放在自己面前，我怎能让他们向我求问呢？
