For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,

Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,

make my joy full by being like- minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;

In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying,“ Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them,and said,“ Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.

For it is written,‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him,“ If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,for it is written,‘ He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’and,‘ On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’”

Do you seek great things for yourself? Don’t seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh,’ says Yahweh;‘ but I will let you escape with your life wherever you go.’”

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

For you always have the poor with you; but you don’t always have me.

the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;

He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,“ Blessed are you who are poor, God’s Kingdom is yours.

Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.

I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord.

Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let’s walk by the same rule. Let’s be of the same mind.

“ Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.

He said to her,“ What do you want?” She said to him,“ Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand, and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom.”But Jesus answered,“ You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to him,“ We are able.”He said to them,“ You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with, but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”When the ten heard it, they were indignant with the two brothers.But Jesus summoned them, and said,“ You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.It shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar.

He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him.

Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and the good of their children after them.

All the relatives of the poor shun him: how much more do his friends avoid him! He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.

Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker. He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished.

Yahweh, my heart isn’t arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? (niv)

By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? (niv)

It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast— all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. “ If I have denied justice to any of my servants, whether male or female, when they had a grievance against me,what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to account?Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?“ If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary, (niv)

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. (niv)
