你就不可向舊枝子誇口；若是誇口，該知道不是你托着根，而是根托着你。

爾亦不可向舊枝誇勝。爾如欲誇、當思非爾支根、乃根支爾也。

do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

So don’t think you are better than the other branches. Remember, you don’t give life to the root. The root gives life to you.

do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.

But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.

不錯。他們因為不信，所以被折下來；你因為信，所以立得住。你不可自高，反要戰戰兢兢。

我另外有羊，不屬這圈裏的，我必須領牠們來，牠們也要聽我的聲音，並且要合成一羣，歸一個牧人。

驕傲在敗壞以先，內心高傲在跌倒之前。

既是這樣，哪裏可誇口呢？沒有可誇的。是藉甚麼法呢？功德嗎？不是！是藉信主之法。

這樣，你們不再是外人或客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裏的人了，被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶穌自己為房角石，

彼得回答他說：「即使眾人為你的緣故跌倒，我也絕不跌倒。」

所以，自以為站得穩的人必須謹慎，免得跌倒。

所以，人作後嗣是出於信，因此就屬乎恩，以致應許保證歸給所有的後裔，不但歸給那屬於律法的，也歸給那效法亞伯拉罕之信的人。亞伯拉罕所信的是那叫死人復活、使無變為有的神，在這位神面前亞伯拉罕成為我們眾人的父，如經上所記：「我已經立你作多國之父。」

以色列王回答說：「你們告訴他說，『剛束上腰帶的，不要像已卸下的那樣誇口。』」

「萬軍之耶和華如此說：將來還有眾百姓和許多城鎮的居民要來。這城的居民必到那城，說：『我們快去懇求耶和華的恩，尋求萬軍之耶和華；我自己也要去。』必有許多民族和強盛的國家來到耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之耶和華，懇求耶和華的恩。萬軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，列國中說各種語言的人，必有十個人強拉住一個猶大人衣服的邊，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見神與你們同在了。』」

耶穌向那些自以為義而藐視別人的人講了這比喻：「有兩個人上聖殿去禱告，一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。法利賽人獨自站着，自言自語地禱告說：『神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。

既然你們屬於基督，你們就是亞伯拉罕的子孫，是照着應許承受產業的了。

你們所敬拜的，你們不知道；我們所敬拜的，我們知道，因為救恩是從猶太人出來的。
