原来，自从创世以来，神那不可见的本性，就是他永恒的大能和神性，都藉着所造之物，被人明白、被人看见，以致使人无法推诿。

自創世以來、上帝之永能神性、即所莫見者、已明見矣、乃由所造之物而知之、致人末由推諉、

自開闢以來、上帝之永能性體、目不及見、惟其所造之物、可睹而知、故人未由推諉、

天主不可見之事、即其永能、及其為天主之真、目不可見、自造天地以來、乃可明知、因觀其所造之物而悟、致人無由推諉、

蓋自有世以來、天主形而上之神性靈德、實可憑其所造之萬物而辨認洞見也。然則世人亦烏得而推諉乎？

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Ever since the world was created it has been possible to see the qualities of God that are not seen. I’m talking about his eternal power and about the fact that he is God. Those things can be seen in what he has made. So people have no excuse for what they do.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

上帝的事情，人所能知道的，原顯明在人心裏，因為上帝已經向他們顯明。

你們要向上舉目，看是誰創造這萬象，按數目領出它們，一一稱其名，以他的權能和他的大能大力，使它們一個都不缺。

諸天述說上帝的榮耀，穹蒼傳揚他手的作為。這日到那日發出言語，這夜到那夜傳出知識。無言無語，也無聲音可聽。它們的聲浪傳遍天下，它們的言語傳到地極。上帝在其中為太陽安設帳幕，太陽如同新郎步出洞房，又如勇士歡然奔路。它從天這邊出來，繞到天那邊，沒有一物可隱藏得不到它的熱氣。

諸天藉耶和華的話而造，萬象藉他口中的氣而成。他聚集海水如壘，收藏深洋在倉庫。願全地都敬畏耶和華！願世上的居民都懼怕他！因為他說有，就有，命立，就立。

他們顯明律法的功用刻在他們心裏，他們的良心一同作證－他們的內心掙扎，有時自責，有時為自己辯護。

我觀看你手指所造的天，並你所陳設的月亮星宿。

將地立在根基上，使地永不動搖。

願尊貴、榮耀歸給永世的君王，那不朽壞、看不見、獨一的上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

從來沒有人見過上帝，只有在父懷裏獨一的兒子將他表明出來。

就是那獨一不死、住在人不能靠近的光裏，是人未曾看見，也是不能看見的。願尊貴和永遠的權能都歸給他。阿們！

又恐怕你向天舉目，看見耶和華－你的上帝為天下萬民所擺列的日月星辰，就是天上的萬象，就被誘惑去敬拜它們，事奉它們。

我的肺腑是你所造的，我在母腹中，你已編織我。

你的信實存到萬代；你堅立了地，地就長存。

我若沒有來教導他們，他們就沒有罪；但如今他們的罪無可推諉了。

所以，你這評斷人的人哪，無論你是誰，都無可推諉。你在甚麼事上評斷人，就在甚麼事上定自己的罪。因你這評斷人的，自己所做的卻和別人一樣。

我若見太陽發光，明月運行，心就暗暗被引誘，口親吻自己的手；這也是審判官裁定的罪孽，因為我背棄了至上的上帝。

愛子是那看不見的上帝之像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。

何況基督的血，他藉着永遠的靈把自己無瑕疵地獻給上帝，更能洗淨我們的良心，除去致死的行為，好事奉那位永生的上帝。

願耶和華的榮耀存到永遠！願耶和華喜愛自己所造的！

你們當倚靠耶和華，直到永遠，因為耶和華，耶和華是永遠的磐石。

這奧祕如今顯示出來，而且按着永生上帝的命令，藉眾先知的書指示萬民，使他們因信而順服。

因有一嬰孩為我們而生；有一子賜給我們。政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他名稱為「奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君」。

因着信，他離開埃及，不怕王的憤怒，因為他恆心忍耐，如同看見那不能看見的上帝。

因為上帝本性一切的豐盛都有形有體地居住在基督裏面；

既然我們是上帝所生的，就不應該以為上帝的神性像人用手藝和心思所雕刻的金、銀、石像一般。

「愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

火和冰雹，雪和霧氣，成就他命令的狂風，大山和小山，結果子的樹木和一切香柏樹，野獸和一切牲畜，昆蟲和飛鳥，世上的君王和萬民，領袖和世上所有的審判官，少年和少女，老人和孩童，

亙古的上帝是避難所，下面有永久的膀臂。他從你面前趕走仇敵，說：『毀滅吧！』

諸山未曾生出，地與世界你未曾造成，從亙古到永遠，你是上帝。

這樣，你們就可以作天父的兒女了。因為他叫太陽照好人，也照壞人；降雨給義人，也給不義的人。

亞伯拉罕就在別是巴種了一棵柳樹，在那裏求告耶和華－永恆上帝的名。

「諸位父老弟兄，請聽我現在對你們的申辯。」
