When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.

The Lamb broke open the fifth seal. I saw souls under the altar. They were the souls of people who had been killed. They had been killed because of God’s word and their faithful witness.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.

隨後，我看見一些座位，上面坐著人；這些人被賜予了審判的權柄。我又看見那些為耶穌做見證並為神的話語被斬首之人的靈魂，他們沒有膜拜那獸或獸像，也沒有在自己額上或手上接受那印記。他們都活了過來，並且與基督一同做王一千年。

他們將要把你們趕出會堂。不但如此，時候就要到了！那殺你們的人，都會以為自己是在事奉神。

我約翰，是你們的弟兄，是與你們在耶穌的患難、國度、忍耐裡一同有份的，為神的話語和有關耶穌的見證，曾經住在那叫做帕特莫斯的海島上。

另一位天使從祭壇那裡出來，是有權柄統管火的；他對那位拿著鋒利鐮刀的大聲呼喚說：「伸出你那鋒利的鐮刀，收取地上葡萄樹累累的果子吧！因為葡萄已經熟了。」

我知道你居住的地方，就是撒旦寶座所在的地方。不過即使在我忠心的見證人安提帕的那些日子裡，你還持守我的名，也沒有否認對我的信仰；這安提帕是在你們那裡，也就是在撒旦居住的地方被殺害的。

隨後，我聽見祭壇說：「是的，主、神、全能者啊，你的審判是真實的、公義的！」

他們藉著羔羊的血，藉著自己所見證的話語而勝過了牠，他們至死也沒有愛惜自己的生命。為此，諸天和居住在其中的，你們應當慶祝！但是大地和海洋卻有禍了，因為魔鬼知道自己的時候不多，就懷著烈怒下到你們那裡去了。」那龍一見自己被摔在地上，就追逼那生了男孩的婦人。但那婦人被賜予了大鷹的兩個翅膀，使她可以飛到曠野，到她自己的地方；在那裡她被供養一期，二期，又半期，遠離那蛇的面。蛇就在那婦人後面，從口裡吐出水來，像江河一樣，要把她沖走。可是大地幫助了那婦人；大地張開口，吞下了從龍口裡吐出的河水。於是龍就向那婦人發怒，又去與她其餘的後裔作戰，這後裔就是那些遵守神的命令、持守有關耶穌見證的人。

我就俯伏在他的腳前，要敬拜他。可是他對我說：「你要注意，不可這樣！我與你和你的弟兄們——那些持守有關耶穌見證的，都是同做奴僕的。你應當敬拜神！因為有關耶穌的見證，才是預言的靈魂所在。」

我將賜能力給我的兩個見證人，他們將披著麻衣，做先知傳道一千二百六十天。」這兩個人就是站在大地之主面前的那兩棵橄欖樹、那兩座燈臺。如果有人想要傷害他們，火就從他們的口中出來，吞滅他們的敵人；如果有人想要傷害他們，就必定這樣被殺。這兩個人有權柄閉塞天空，使雨水在他們做先知傳道的日子不降下來；又有權柄統管眾水，使水變成血，並且能隨時隨意用各樣災害擊打大地。他們做完了見證以後，那從無底坑裡上來的獸將與他們作戰，並且將勝過他們，把他們殺死。

約翰把神的話語和有關耶穌基督的見證，凡是他所看到的，都見證出來。

隨後，另一位天使來了，拿著金香爐，站在祭壇旁邊。他被賜予了很多香，要和所有聖徒的禱告一起獻在寶座前的金祭壇上。

第六位天使吹響號角，我就聽見一個聲音從神面前金祭壇的四隻角傳來，

所以你不要以有關我們主的見證為恥，也不要以我——這主的囚犯為恥，而要藉著神的大能，為福音與我同受苦難。

事實上，我已經在被澆奠了；我離開世界的時候已經臨到了。

我正處在兩難之間：我渴望離世與基督在一起，因為這是好得無比的；

是的，我們滿懷勇氣，更樂意離開這身體，與主同住。

然而，即使我被做為奠祭，澆在你們信仰的祭物和服事上，我也歡喜，並且和你們大家一同歡喜；
