二十四老俯伏寶座主前、肅然朝拜永生者、而投其榮冠於座前曰：

四个活物就说：“阿们！”众长老也俯伏敬拜。

宝座的周围有二十四个座位，上面坐着二十四位长老，身穿白衣，头戴金冠。

来吧，我们来俯伏敬拜，在造我们的耶和华面前跪下。

他拿了书卷之后，四个活物和二十四位长老就俯伏在羊羔面前，各拿着琴和盛满了香的金炉，这香就是众圣徒的祈祷。

那二十四位长老和四个活物，就俯伏敬拜那坐在宝座上的神，说：“阿们！哈利路亚！”

那在神面前，坐在自己座位上的二十四位长老，都面伏在地上敬拜神，

耶和华啊，尊大、能力、荣耀、胜利和威严，都是你的；因为天上地下的万有都是你的；耶和华啊，国度是你的，你是至高的，是万有之首。富足和尊荣都从你而来，你也统治万有。在你的手里有力量和权能；人的尊大、强盛都是出于你的手。我们的神啊，现在我们要称颂你，赞美你荣耀的名。我算什么？我的人民又算什么？竟有力量这样乐意奉献？因为万物都是从你而来，我们只是把从你手里得来的，奉献给你。我们在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，像我们的列祖一样；我们在世上的日子好像影儿，没有指望。耶和华我们的神啊，我们预备的这一切财物，要为你的圣名建造殿宇，都是从你而来的，也都是属于你的。

所有的天使都站在宝座、众长老和四个活物的四周。他们在宝座前，面伏在地上敬拜神，

主啊！谁敢不敬畏你，不荣耀你的名呢？因为只有你是神圣的，万国都要来，在你面前下拜，因为你公义的作为已经显明出来了。”

并且对他说：“你只要跪下来拜我，我就把这一切都给你。”但耶稣说：“撒但，走开！经上记着：‘当拜主你的神，单要事奉他。’”

众王都必向他俯伏，万国都必服事他。

听见又看见了这些事的，就是我约翰。我听见又看见了之后，就俯伏在指示我这些事的天使脚前要拜他。他对我说：“千万不可以这样！我和你，以及你的弟兄众先知，还有那些遵守这书上的话的人，都是同作仆人的。你应当敬拜神。”

每逢四个活物把荣耀、尊贵、感谢献给那坐在宝座上，活到永永远远的那一位的时候，

进了房子，看见小孩和他母亲马利亚，就俯伏拜他，并且打开宝盒，把黄金、乳香、没药作礼物献给他。

他们就敬拜他，欢欢喜喜地回到耶路撒冷，

大卫对全体会众说：“你们应当称颂耶和华你们的神。”于是全体会众就称颂耶和华他们列祖的神，俯伏敬拜耶和华和王。

那火降下，耶和华的荣光停在殿上的时候，以色列众人都看见；于是他们在铺石地跪下，俯伏在地，敬拜称颂耶和华说：“耶和华是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”

然而靠着神的恩典，我得以有了今天，而且他赐给我的恩典并没有落空；我比众使徒格外劳苦，其实不是我，而是神的恩典与我同在。

于是约伯起来，撕裂外袍，剃了头，俯伏在地上敬拜，

耶和华啊！不要把荣耀归给我们，不要归给我们；要因你的慈爱和信实把荣耀归在你的名下。
