接着，天使给我看一条生命水的河，明亮如水晶，从神和羔羊的宝座流出来，

“凡是有耳的，就应当听圣灵向各教会所说的话！那得胜的，我将要准许他吃神乐园中生命树的果子。

他在木头上，以自己的身体亲自担当了我们的罪孽，好使我们既然向罪而死，就能向义而活；因他受的鞭伤，你们得了痊愈。

“凡是洗净自己袍子，好使自己有权利到生命树那里，并且得以从城门进到城内的人——他们是蒙福的！

耶和华神使各样的树从地里长出来，令人眼目喜爱，作为食物也很好；在园子的中间有生命树和分辨善恶树。

耶和华神说：“看哪，那人已经与我们相似，知道善恶；现在恐怕他又伸出手，取生命树的果实来吃，那样他就会永远活着。”于是耶和华神就把他赶出伊甸园，去耕耘土地——他本是从那里取出来的。耶和华神驱逐了那人，又在伊甸园的东边安置了基路伯和四周旋转的火焰之剑，来看守通往生命树的道路。

对于持守她的，她就是生命树；持定她的人被称为有福。

如果有人从这书上的预言之话中删去什么，神将要从这书上所写的生命树和圣城中删去他的份。

列国都将藉着城的光行走；地上的众君王都要把他们的荣耀带进城内。

十二个城门是十二颗珍珠；每一个门各自是由一颗珍珠造成的。城里的大街是纯金的，好像透明的玻璃。

至于你们这些敬畏我名的人，必有公义的太阳为你们升起，它的光线带来痊愈；你们必出来跳跃，像圈里的牛犊。”

我已看见他的道路，但我还是要治愈他、引导他，使他和那些为他悲哀的人重得安慰，并使他结出嘴唇的果实：平安！平安归于远处的人，也归于近处的人！我要治愈他。”这是耶和华说的。

他治愈心灵破碎的人，包扎他们的伤处。

“主的灵在我身上，因为他膏立我去向贫穷的人传福音，他差派我去宣告：被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，让受欺压的得自由，

让这子民的心麻木，耳朵发沉，眼睛蒙蔽，免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里领悟，回转过来，就得痊愈。”
