最後被廢除的仇敵就是死亡，

你的太陽必不再下落，你的月亮也不再虧缺；耶和華必作你永遠的光，你哀慟的日子將會結束。

一旦這會朽壞的穿上那不朽壞的，這會死的穿上那不死的，經上所記的話就會應驗了：「死亡被勝利吞滅了！」「死亡啊！你的勝利在哪裡？死亡啊！你的毒刺在哪裡？」死亡的毒刺就是罪，而罪的權勢就是律法。但感謝神，他藉著我們的主耶穌基督，賜給我們勝利！因此，我親愛的弟兄們，你們要堅定，不可動搖，常常在主的工作中豐足有餘，因為你們知道，你們的勞苦在主裡不是虛空。

你們要因我所創造的而歡喜快樂，直到永遠。看哪！我要創造耶路撒冷作為歡樂之源，創造她的民作為喜樂之泉。我要因耶路撒冷而快樂，因我的子民而歡喜，城中再也聽不見哭泣的聲音和哀叫的聲音；

接著，我看見一個新天新地，因為先前的天和先前的地都已經過去了，海也不再存在了。

然後，死亡和陰間被丟進火湖裡，這火湖就是第二次的死亡。

蒙耶和華救贖的人必回歸，歡呼著進入錫安；永遠的喜樂必臨到他們的頭上，歡喜快樂要追隨他們，悲哀嘆息卻要逃遁。

將來不再有任何詛咒。神和羔羊的寶座將要在城中，他的奴僕們將事奉他，

天和地將要消逝，但是我的話絕不會消逝。

錫安的民——住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你必不再哭泣！他必定恩待你，他聽了你哀求的聲音，就必回應你。

去供給錫安悲哀的人——賜給他們頭飾代替灰燼，喜樂的膏油代替哀慟，讚美的衣服代替沮喪的靈。這樣，他們就被稱為「公義的橡樹」，是耶和華所栽種的，為要顯出他的榮耀。

所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼，並且釋放那些因怕死而終生被束縛為奴役的人。

不過，主的日子要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣。在那日，諸天要轟然一聲地消逝，天體將被火焚燒而廢除，地和地上的作為也都將被暴露出來。

人好像一口氣，他的年日就像影子那樣過去。

利用世界的，要像沒有充分利用世界的；因為這世界的形態正在消逝。

「所以主說：你們要從他們中間出來，要被分別出來；不要碰不潔淨的東西，我就接納你們」，
