I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.

‘ I know what you are doing. You work long and hard. I know you can’t put up with evil people. You have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not. You have found out that they are liars.

“‘ I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

“ I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars.

I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars.

我知爾所為、余闢門於爾前、無人能闔之、爾力雖微、已守我道、不拒我名、

彼冒使徒、偽者也、貌為基督使徒、斯何奇之有、蓋撒但貌為光明天使、其役貌為義役、寧有甚奇、其報必依所行、

毋若小子、受人詭譎伎倆、以其教風動煽惑、

非為爾不識真理、乃以書達爾、正以爾實知真理、而真實中無少誕妄也、誑者伊何、非不以耶穌為基督乎、拒天父與其子者、顯與基督敵、

耶和華兮、作善者悅納、不善者喪亡。

雖然、上帝之道、其址鞏固、有印誌云、主知厥民、又云、呼基督名者、當遠諸惡、

爾當書達撒狄會使者、曰、主有上帝七神、執七星、言曰、吾知爾所為、名生實死、

此非福音也、但有人惑爾、欲紛更基督福音、

蓋上帝至公、必不爾忘、爾素為生名施仁勤勞、以供事聖徒、今所行亦如是、

我知爾所為、亦知爾艱辛、雖貧乏而實富厚、撒但之黨、自謂猶太人、而實非也、我知其妄言、

我知爾所為、爾所處者、乃撒但之邦畿、昔安提帕為我作證、克盡厥忠、見殺於爾間、而爾猶尊我名、不拒我道、惟爾有可責數事、昔巴蘭慫恿巴勒、誘以色列人、食祭偶之物、且行淫、爾中有人從之、尼哥臘黨、我實惡之、爾中有人、反崇其術、

我知爾所為敦仁服勞、信道恆忍、前此所為、不如今日、爾有可責數事、有婦耶洗別、冒稱先知、誘我僕眾行淫、食祭偶之物、爾竟容之、我賜彼遏淫之機、彼猶不悛、

我將明告之曰作不善者、吾未嘗識爾、其離我去矣、○

在吾父上帝前、每念爾信主而行、仁愛而勞、望吾主耶穌基督而恆忍、
