爾之行實、爾之堅苦忍耐、悉在吾洞鑒之中；亦知爾不肯優容惡人、凡冒充宗徒者、爾竟能嚴加審察、而揭其偽妄；

I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.

‘ I know what you are doing. You work long and hard. I know you can’t put up with evil people. You have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not. You have found out that they are liars.

“ I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars.

I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars.

‘ I know your deeds and your labor and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and you have put those who call themselves apostles to the test, and they are not, and you found them to be false;

“ I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;

I know thy works, and thy toil and patience, and that thou canst not bear evil men, and didst try them that call themselves apostles, and they are not, and didst find them false;

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

but test everything; hold fast what is good.

“‘ I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

“‘ I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

“‘ I know your tribulation and your poverty( but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

“‘ I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.

“‘ I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first.But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

And then will I declare to them,‘ I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
