地上的众君王，就是那些与她行淫乱、一同骄奢淫逸的，当看见焚烧她时的烟，就会为她捶胸哀哭。

地上的君王，素來與她行淫、一同奢華的，看見燒她的煙，就必為她哭泣哀號。

地上的君王、素來同她行淫、荒淫無度的、看見她被焚燒的煙，就必為她哭泣捶胸。

地上的眾君王，就是那些與她行淫亂、一同驕奢淫逸的，當看見焚燒她時的煙，就會為她捶胸哀哭。

世上諸王、素與行淫而奢華者、見所焚之煙、則為之哭而擗、

天下諸王、素與巴比倫行淫、專事華靡、見厥火炎炎、必哭之哀、

天下諸王、素與彼行淫、奢侈宴樂、見焚之之煙、必為之悲痛號泣、

世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

地上的君王都曾與她行淫，住在地上的人也喝醉了她淫亂的酒。」

因為列國都喝了她淫亂大怒的酒；地上的君王和她行淫；地上的商人因她極度奢華而發了財。」

他們又一次說：「哈利路亞！燒淫婦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。」

看見燒她的煙，就喊着說：「有哪一個城能跟這大城比呢？」

那時沿海的君王都要從寶座下來，除去朝服，脫下錦衣，披上戰兢，坐在地上，不停發抖，為你而驚駭。他們必為你作哀歌，向你說：『你這聞名之城，航海之人居住，海上最為堅固的，你和居民使所有住在沿海的人無不驚恐，現在竟然毀滅了！

使他們受痛苦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。那些拜獸和獸像，受了牠名字的印記的人，晝夜不得安寧。」

因巴比倫被攻下的聲音，地就震動，人在列國都聽見呼喊的聲音。」

天哪，眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊！你們都要因她歡喜，因為上帝已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。」

她怎樣榮耀自己，怎樣奢華，也要使她照樣痛苦悲哀。因她心裏說：『我坐了皇后的位，並不是寡婦，絕不至於悲哀。』

遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，

它的河水要變為柏油，塵埃變為硫磺，大地成為燃燒的柏油，晝夜總不熄滅，它的煙永遠上騰，必世世代代成為荒廢，永永遠遠無人經過。

「我使你在列國，在你所不認識的列邦中滅亡。那時，我必使許多民族的心因你愁煩。當我在他們面前舉起我的刀，我要使許多民族因你驚恐，他們的君王也必因你極其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他們各人為自己的性命時時戰兢。

巴比倫為列國的榮耀，為迦勒底人所誇耀的華美，必像上帝所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣；

大聲呼叫說：『砍倒這樹！砍下枝子！拔掉葉子！拋散果子！使走獸逃離樹下，飛鳥躲開樹枝。

原來陀斐特早已預備好了，是為君王預備的；又深又寬，堆滿了火和木柴；耶和華的氣息猶如一股硫磺使它燃起。

巴比倫要像上帝所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉和鄰近的城鎮一樣，必無人住在那裏，也無人在其中寄居。這是耶和華說的。

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，他要在惡人的血中洗腳。

你曾看見的那十個角就是十個王；他們還沒有得到國度，但他們要和那隻獸同得權柄作王一個時辰。他們同心把自己的能力權柄交給那隻獸。

哀號吧，松樹！因為香柏樹傾倒了，高大的樹毀壞了。哀號吧，巴珊的橡樹！因為茂盛的樹林倒下來了。聽啊，有牧人在哀號，因他們的榮華敗落了；聽啊，有少壯獅子咆哮，因約旦河旁的叢林荒廢了。

面向所多瑪和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地觀望。他觀看，看哪，那地有濃煙上騰，好像燒窰的濃煙。
