When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.Then say,‘ So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring on her. And her people will fall.’” The words of Jeremiah end here.

And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice,“ Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?”

I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found.

The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No worker of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again.

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

Like a dream he flies away, no more to be found, banished like a vision of the night.

The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.
