The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. 二人作證既畢、將有猛獸出自無底深壑與之戰、勝而殺之、

而一現即逝之獸、其本身即為第八、出於第七、而歸於消滅。

彼口吐利刃、以擊萬邦；手執鐵杖、以牧元元；足踐酒醡、以洩全能天主之義憤；袍上及甲上題有名號曰「萬王之王、眾主之主。」又見一天神、立於日中、揚聲而呼中天之鳥曰：「來集、共赴天主之盛筵、暢食諸王之肉、將帥之肉、猛士之肉、以及萬馬及騎者之肉；無主無奴、無貴無賤、其肉皆供爾一餐而已。」乃見上述之獸、及世上諸王、率兵而集、欲與騎白馬者及其所率之軍作戰；獸及偽先知同被擒。偽先知者、即當日行異蹟於獸前以熒惑受獸印拜獸像之群眾者也。二者俱被執而生投於硫火池中。騎白馬者復以其口吐之劍、殲滅餘黨、眾鳥皆飫其肉焉。

爾既守吾寬忍之道、吾亦當於全世之人遭受試練時、保爾於難。

至是王將謂右者曰：「爾等見寵於吾父者、自創世以來為爾所備之國、胥來承嗣。

凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、必得被以白袍；吾當使厥名長留生命冊上、而永不見削、且認之於吾父及眾天神之前也。

旋聞大音自殿中告七天神曰：「往矣！將天主義憤之七爵傾注下土。」第一天神往注其爵於地；凡受獸印誌而拜厥像者、皆生毒瘍。第二天神傾注其爵於海；海成碧血、海中生物盡死第三天神傾注其爵於江河水泉、悉皆變血。吾聞掌水之天神曰「永生之神聖者乎爾之施罰義也。若輩既流先知眾聖之血、則爾飲之以血、不亦宜乎。」又聞祭壇發言曰：「誠哉言也！主天主、全能者乎、爾之睿斷、既明且公。」第四天神傾注其爵於太陽、受權得以烈火薰炙人類；人既受炙、遂謗讟有權制災之天主；猶不知憣然悔改而稱頌威光。第五天神傾注其爵於獸座之上；舉國晦冥、人痛甚而齩舌、不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。第六天神傾注其爵於歐弗拉底大河之中、水立涸、為東來諸王備道。吾見三邪神狀似蝦蟆、出自龍、獸、及假先知之口；邪神、即鬼魔之靈、能作祟、附於全世諸王、使於全能天主全盛之日、集中全力、而作最後之掙扎。主不云乎：我來有如不速之客。人能恆自警惕、守其所服、毋使赤身露體、自彰其醜、斯為有福。而諸魔竟屯聚列王於一地、地名希伯來文曰哈爾瑪日東云。第七天神傾注其爵於空氣之中；有一大音出自殿中寶座曰：「成矣！事竣矣！」其時雷霆霹靂、眾音並作、大地震動、生民以來所未曾有。

於是惑眾之妖魔乃被投入硫火池中、與獸及偽先知朝暮受刑、永世靡已。

爾時吾見一獸自海中出、十角七首、上有十冕、首上僭號無數。此獸望之若豹、其足若熊、其口若獅；龍以己之權位威力授之。吾見其一首似已中傷瀕死、後竟醫治獲愈；普世奇之、翕然風從。人見龍之以權授獸、故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」獸且賦有口才、大言不慚、荒謬絕倫；秉權作孽四十有二月。開口謗讟天主、褻瀆聖名與閟帷、侮慢天上諸神諸聖。又受權與諸聖相戰而勝之、統治各族、各民、萬邦、重譯。舉世之人、凡厥名自創世以來未錄於被宰羔羊之生命冊者、咸將翕然、景仰此獸。雖然有耳者、其聽旃！引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。無何、又見一獸出自地下、有二角如羊、而出言如龍；於海獸之前、操其大權、驅策全世居民、朝拜曩日受傷獲瘳之前獸。

吾又見已亡者、無大無小、肅立座前、案卷悉展、另有一卷亦展、即生命冊也。亡者皆各按其卷中所載之行實而處分焉。

角五鳴、見一天星降地、受無底深壑之管籥；既啟壑騰煙如洪爐、上蔽日光、穹蒼晦冥；

天主於創世以前、夙在基督之身、予吾人以恩簡、俾吾人得成聖潔無瑕、對越所天。

凡不見錄於生命冊者、皆投入火池。

其受命誠在無始之始、其顯現則在茲末世。

又一天神隨其後而言曰：「盛極一時之巴比倫、素以荒淫之酒鴆毒天下萬國者、已見傾覆、」更有一天神隨其後、大聲而言曰：「如有拜獸及獸像、而受印誌於額或手者。將飲天主罰杯中之真霹靂酒；且將於聖天神及羔羊之前受火與硫璜之苦刑；煎燒之煙、蓬蓬上升、曠世不休。哀哉拜獸及其像、而受其名之印誌者、日夜遑遑、不得寧息。」諸聖之恆忍、於斯乎存。諸聖無他、即恪守天主之誡命、與夫耶穌之信條者是。又聞一音發自天上曰：『書之：此後庇主之蔭而死者、洵為有福。聖神曰：「誠哉、若輩必得釋其勞苦、而永享安寧；以若輩平生功德常隨其身。」』既又望見一朵白雲、坐其上者彷彿人子、頭戴金冕、手執利鐮。又一天神自殿中出、大聲而呼駕雲者曰：「操鐮而刈；蓋收獲之時已至、地上之百穀皆熟。」駕雲者乃運其鐮於地上、以登百穀。又一天神來自天上之聖殿、亦秉一利鉤。更有一掌火之天神、來自祭壇、大聲招呼秉利鉤者曰：「操爾利鉤、以芟去地上之葡萄、其菓熟矣。」天神乃運其刈鉤於地上、芟而投之於天主盛怒之大榨中、榨之於郊外、血自榨中出、高至馬勒、遠達六百里。

此聖教乃建立於永生期望之上、而永生乃真實無妄之天主所許於萬古之前、

望爾等切莫受人之愚也。彼日之來、必先有反教背主之事、又有元惡大憝、淪亡之子、先行顯露、反抗基督、妄自尊大、目中不復有所謂天主或可敬者、彼且坐於天主聖殿、而自炫其為天主焉。曩者予在爾中時、曾以此事相告、爾等豈已忘懷乎？爾等亦知彼在目前、尚有所阻；如屆其時、則面目畢露。蓋其不法之隱圖、已在醞釀、惟尚有為之阻礙者、故其一時未能遽發；一俟阻礙見除、則彼橫行不法者、行將猖獗。而主耶穌乃必以其所發之正氣、予以懲創、且藉己之昭臨、予以殲滅。

誰作斯語經綸主、真宰夙知今所為。

父乎！願父所賜於予之人、皆得詣予所在、而親睹父所賜予之榮、蓋自創世之前、父已愛予矣。
