而是憑著那像羔羊一樣毫無瑕疵、毫無玷汙的基督寶血。基督在創世以前就已經被神預先知道，又在這末後的時代為你們的緣故顯明出來。

就如他從創世以前，在基督裡揀選了我們，使我們在他面前成為聖潔、毫無瑕疵。他在愛中，

那時王要對在他右邊的人說：『來吧，蒙我父所祝福的人哪，來繼承創世以來已經為你們所預備好的國度吧！

你所看見的那獸，先前在而現今不在，並將要從無底坑裡上來，然後走向滅亡。住在地上的人，凡是名字從創世以來沒有被記在生命冊上的，看見那先前在而現今不在，並將要出現的獸時，都會感到驚奇。

那得勝的，將要同樣穿上白衣，我絕不從生命冊上抹去他的名字；而且我將要在我父面前、在我父的眾天使面前，承認他的名字。

他們大聲說：「那被殺的羔羊配接受權能、財富、智慧、力量、尊貴、榮耀和頌讚！」

這是基於那永恆生命的盼望，而這盼望是那不撒謊的神在亙古以前所應許的。

第二天，約翰看見耶穌向他走來，就說：「看哪，神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的！

凡是不潔淨的，行可憎和虛假之事的人，絕不能進到城內；唯有名字被記在羔羊生命冊上的才能進去。

「末後的時期，守護你子民的偉大護衛天使米迦勒必站出來；並且會有一段患難的時期，自從有國家以來直到那時候未曾有過；末後的時期，你的子民中凡是被記在那冊子上的，都必得救。

隨後，我看見在寶座和四個活物當中，在長老們當中，站著一隻羔羊，好像是被殺過的。羔羊有七隻角和七隻眼，那七隻眼就是神的七個靈，是奉差派往全地去的。羔羊上前去，從坐在寶座上那一位的右手中拿了書卷。他一接到書卷，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，他們各拿著一把豎琴和盛滿香的金碗；這些香就是聖徒們的禱告。他們唱著一首新歌，說：「你配接受那書卷，配打開它的封印，因為你曾被殺，用自己的血，從各支派、各語言群體、各民族、各國家，為神贖回了人，

但不要因為邪靈服從了你們就歡喜，要因為你們的名字已經被記錄在天上而歡喜。」

是的，我真誠的同伴哪！我也請求你幫助她們兩位。她們在福音工作上曾經與我、克萊門斯，和我的其他同工們一起奮戰，這些人的名字都在生命冊上。

因為你遵守了我忍耐的教導，我還要保守你脫離那試煉的時刻，就是那將要臨到普天下，考驗住在地上之人的時刻。

看哪，我站在門口敲門。如果有人聽見我的聲音就開門，我就會進到他那裡，而且我與他、他與我，將要一同吃宴席。

那時，殘留在錫安、餘剩在耶路撒冷的人，就是所有在耶路撒冷、記在生命冊上的人，必被稱為聖；

這獸的七個頭中有一個好像受了致命傷，可是這致命傷得了痊癒。全地的人都感到驚奇，跟隨了這獸。他們膜拜龍，因為牠把權柄交給了獸。他們也膜拜獸，說：「誰能與這獸相比呢？誰能與牠交戰呢？」

藉著那些奇蹟，就是牠被准許在第一隻獸面前所行的奇蹟，牠就迷惑了住在地上的人，告訴住在地上的人，要為那受刀傷卻活過來的獸，造一個像。牠又被准許把氣息給那獸像，甚至使那獸像能說話，又使所有不膜拜那獸像的人都被殺死。

蛇就在那婦人後面，從口裡吐出水來，像江河一樣，要把她沖走。
