如果有人註定被擄，他就會被擄去；如果有人註定被刀殺，他就會被刀殺。聖徒們的忍耐和信仰，就在這裡。

掳掠人的，必被掳掠；用刀杀人的，必被刀杀。圣徒的忍耐和信心就是在此。

该被掳掠的，必被掳掠；该被刀杀的，必被刀杀。在此，圣徒要有耐心和信心。

凡宜見虜者則見虜、以刃殺人者、則必見殺於刃、諸聖徒之忍與信在此矣、○

凡虜人者、亦將見虜於人、以刃殺人者、亦將見殺於人、聖徒之恆忍信主、於此可見、

凡擄人者亦見擄、以刃殺人者亦被刃殺、聖徒之恆忍與信在此矣、○

引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。

“ If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

“ Everyone who is supposed to be captured will be captured. Everyone who is supposed to be killed by a sword will be killed by a sword.”( Jeremiah 15:2) So God’s people must be patient and faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.

If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

禍哉！你這未遭毀滅的毀滅者，未遭背信之事的背信者！你行完了毀滅，自己必遭毀滅；你做盡了背信之事，自己必遭背信之事。

因為你遵守了我忍耐的教導，我還要保守你脫離那試煉的時刻，就是那將要臨到普天下，考驗住在地上之人的時刻。

所以弟兄們，你們當恆久忍耐，直到主的來臨。看哪，農夫等待著田地裡寶貴的果實，為此恆久忍耐，直到果實得著秋雨春雨。你們也當恆久忍耐，堅固你們的心，因為主的來臨已經近了。

耶穌就對他說：「把你的刀收回原處！因為凡動刀的，必死在刀下。

你們當在你們的忍耐中獲得自己的生命。

遵守神的命令、持守對耶穌信仰的聖徒們的忍耐，就在這裡。」

這樣，你們就不會變得懈怠，反而會效法那些藉著信仰和耐心去繼承各樣應許的人。

至於你們的生命之血，我必為你們追討：我要向野獸追討，我也要向人，甚至向各人的兄弟追討人命。那殺人流血的，他必被殺流血，因為神是按照自己的形像造人的。

我知道你的行為，包括你的勞苦和忍耐，也知道你不能容忍惡人。你曾考驗那些自稱是使徒，其實不是使徒的，而且看出他們是假的。

其實，你們需要忍耐，好在你們行完神的旨意以後，可以領受所應許的。要知道，還有一點點時候，「要來的那一位就要來臨，他不會遲延。

耶穌對他們講了一個比喻，說他們必須常常禱告，不要喪膽。他說：「某城裡有一個審判官，他既不敬畏神，也不尊重人。那城裡有一個寡婦，經常到他那裡去，說：『請為我向我的對頭討個公道。』「法官一直不肯，但是後來心裡說：『即使我不敬畏神，也不尊重人，還是因為這寡婦不斷地煩擾我，我就為她討個公道，免得她一直來，到最後使我疲憊不堪！』」主接著說：「你們當聽這個不公義的審判官所說的！難道神絕不會給那些他所揀選、日夜向他呼求的人主持公道嗎？難道神會耽誤幫助他們嗎？我告訴你們：他會很快地給他們主持公道。不過人子回來的時候，難道在地上能找到這樣的信仰嗎？」

我知道你的行為，包括你的愛心、信仰、服事和忍耐，也知道你最近所做的比先前的更多。

我約翰，是你們的弟兄，是與你們在耶穌的患難、國度、忍耐裡一同有份的，為神的話語和有關耶穌的見證，曾經住在那叫做帕特莫斯的海島上。

又因為他們曾流了聖徒們和先知們的血，現在你給了他們血喝，這是他們該受的。」

我的弟兄們，你們遇到各種試煉的時候，應當看做是極大的喜樂，因為你們知道，你們的信仰經過考驗就生出忍耐；但要讓忍耐發揮完全的功效，好使你們成熟、完備，在任何事上都沒有缺欠。

所以你應當記住你所領受、所聽見的是什麼；你應當持守，應當悔改。如果你不警醒，我就要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣；而你絕不會知道我什麼時候臨到你。

看哪！耶和華就要從自己的地方出來，懲罰地上居民的罪孽；地必顯露其中的血，不再遮蓋被殺的人。

萬民必帶他們回到他們自己的地方；以色列家在耶和華的土地上必擁有萬民作奴僕和婢女，並擄掠那些曾擄掠他們的，轄制那些曾壓迫他們的。

其實，你們應當仔細地思想耶穌如何忍受了罪人的頂撞，這樣你們心裡就不會因喪氣而疲倦。你們與罪爭戰，還沒有抵抗到流血的地步。

願你們按照他榮耀的權能，藉著一切能力得以剛強，好讓你們凡事忍耐寬容，懷著喜樂的心

因為，你們用什麼標準來評斷，也會同樣地被評斷；你們用什麼量器來衡量，也會同樣地被衡量。
