以利亚回答说：“我若是神人，愿火从天上降下来，烧灭你和你那五十人！”于是有火从天上降下来，烧灭五十夫长和他那五十人。王第二次差遣一个五十夫长，带领五十人去见以利亚。五十夫长对以利亚说：“神人哪，王吩咐你快快下来！”以利亚回答说：“我若是神人，愿火从天上降下来，烧灭你和你那五十人！”于是神的火从天上降下来，烧灭五十夫长和他那五十人。

却要以公义审判贫穷人，以正直判断世上的谦卑人，以口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。

因此，我藉先知砍伐他们，以我口中的话杀戮他们；我施行的审判如光发出。

摩西说：“我行的这一切事本不是凭我自己心意行的，乃是耶和华打发我行的，必有证据使你们知道。这些人死若与世人无异，或是他们所遭的与世人相同，就不是耶和华打发我来的。倘若耶和华创作一件新事，使地开口，把他们和一切属他们的都吞下去，叫他们活活地坠落阴间，你们就明白这些人是藐视耶和华了。”摩西刚说完了这一切话，他们脚下的地就开了口，把他们和他们的家眷，并一切属可拉的人丁、财物，都吞下去。这样，他们和一切属他们的，都活活地坠落阴间；地口在他们上头照旧合闭，他们就从会中灭亡。在他们四围的以色列众人听他们呼号，就都逃跑，说：“恐怕地也把我们吞下去。”又有火从耶和华那里出来，烧灭了那献香的二百五十个人。

看哪，我今日立你在列邦列国之上，为要施行拔出、拆毁、毁坏、倾覆，又要建立、栽植。”

从他鼻孔冒烟上腾；从他口中发火焚烧，连炭也着了。

万军之耶和华说，“在显出荣耀之后，差遣我去惩罚那掳掠你们的列国，摸你们的就是摸他眼中的瞳人。

只是我的言语和律例，就是所吩咐我仆人众先知的，岂不临到你们列祖吗？他们就回头说：‘万军之耶和华定意按我们的行动作为向我们怎样行，他已照样行了。’”

他就仆倒在地，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗！扫罗！你为什么逼迫我？”他说：“主啊！你是谁？”主说：“我就是你所逼迫的耶稣。

其状如从前他来灭城的时候我所见的异象，那异象如我在迦巴鲁河边所见的异象，我就俯伏在地。
