He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

Then I looked and realized a hand was stretched out to me, and in it was a written scroll.He unrolled it before me, and it had writing on the front and back; written on it were laments, mourning, and woe.

Then the voice I had heard from heaven began to speak to me again,“ Go and take the open scroll in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me,“ Take the scroll and eat it. It will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”So I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it did taste as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance, O God, our savior. All the ends of the earth trust in you, as well as those living across the wide seas.

I looked on when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a thunderous voice,“ Come!”

Then I saw in the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne a scroll written on the front and back and sealed with seven seals.And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming in a loud voice:“ Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?”But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or look into it.So I began weeping bitterly because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or to look into it.Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Then when the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying,“ Come!”

Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property.

In the west, people respect the LORD’s reputation; in the east they recognize his splendor. For he comes like a rushing stream driven on by wind sent from the LORD.

This power he exercised in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realmsfar above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And God put all things under Christ’s feet, and he gave him to the church as head over all things.

Kings reign by means of me, and potentates decree righteousness;by me princes rule, as well as nobles and all righteous judges.

Then Jesus came up and said to them,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow– in heaven and on earth and under the earth–and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
