He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

後見彼足跨海陸之天神向天舉其右手、

我先前所聞發自天上之音、至此復語我曰：「可詣足跨海陸之天神、領取其手中已展之卷。」我乃往而就之、曰：「請授我以小卷。」渠曰：「可取而食之、將使爾腹苦；惟在爾口中、則甘如芳蜜。」我即自天神手中取得小卷、吞而食之：「方其入口、如蜜之甘；及其入腹、如荼之苦。」

何幸蒙恩簡。得與主相近。居主廊廡下。怡怡共相慶。會當昇其堂。會當入其室。聖堂洵全美。聖室何純潔。願獲常在斯。酣暢主之德。

羔羊啟一緘、吾聞一靈物發音如雷曰：「來！」

又見位於寶座者、右手執一卷、內外俱有文字七印緘焉。復見一大力天神揚聲而言曰：「誰堪展其卷而啟其緘乎？」舉天上、人間、地下、竟無有能展其卷或注視之者。吾於是大哭、恨無大德者堪展其卷或注視之。一老謂予曰：「毋哭也！彼猶太之獅、大維根株之萌蘖已戰勝一切、因得展其卷而啟其緘矣。」

啟二緘、吾聞第二靈物曰：「來！」

予必應爾所求兮。如聲斯響。普天率土兮。莫非吾兒之宇疆。

蓋此神力、天主實已先施於基督之身、起之於死中、升之於諸天、位之於己右、超軼乎一切爵、權、德、統、諸品天神、及今世來世一切可名之名之上。置天地萬物於其足下、立之為全教會至高無上之元首、

耶穌進前曰：『天上地下一切諸權、已賦於我。

使天上人間乃至地下一切生靈、莫不聞其名而屈膝、眾口同聲、咸稱耶穌基督為主、而歸榮於天主聖父焉。
