It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God! Yes, praise is pleasant and appropriate!

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people!Let them present thank offerings, and loudly proclaim what he has done!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, and his loyal love endures!

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord,

Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good! Sing praises to his name, for it is pleasant!

But as for me, God’s presence is all I need. I have made the sovereign LORD my shelter, as I declare all the things you have done.

But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him,‘ What have you done?’At that time my sanity returned to me. I was restored to the honor of my kingdom, and my splendor returned to me. My ministers and my nobles were seeking me out, and I was reinstated over my kingdom. I became even greater than before.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all his deeds are right and his ways are just. He is able to bring down those who live in pride.

For this is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy:“ I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged.

But you, O LORD, reign forever!

As for you, O king, the most high God bestowed on your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, greatness, honor, and majesty.

Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver.”

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people!

You godly ones, shout for joy because of the LORD! It is appropriate for the morally upright to offer him praise.

With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you! I will give thanks to your name, O LORD, for it is good!

You must observe the Sabbath rather than doing anything you please on my holy day. You must look forward to the Sabbath and treat the LORD’s holy day with respect. You must treat it with respect by refraining from your normal activities, and by refraining from your selfish pursuits and from making business deals.Then you will find joy in your relationship to the LORD, and I will give you great prosperity, and cause crops to grow on the land I gave to your ancestor Jacob.” Know for certain that the LORD has spoken.

I thought,‘ You are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.’

I will continually thank you when you execute judgment; I will rely on you, for your loyal followers know you are good.

Each one of the four living creatures had six wings and was full of eyes all around and inside. They never rest day or night, saying:“ Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All- Powerful, Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,the twenty- four elders throw themselves to the ground before the one who sits on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns before his throne, saying:“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, since you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created!”

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging his name.

Yet the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands, as the prophet says,‘ Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is my resting place?

Consequently a Sabbath rest remains for the people of God.
