余竊自思、曰、昔爾沐以膏者、今厭棄之、加以震怒兮、

乃今主屏棄厭惡所立之受膏者、向其大震烈怒、

明證懸中天。有如月之恆。』

But you have rejected, you have spurned, you have been very angry with your anointed one.

But you have turned your back on your anointed king. You have been very angry with him.

But now you have cast off and rejected; you are full of wrath against your anointed.

But now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.

But you have spurned and rejected him; you have become enraged with your anointed.

But You have rejected and refused, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

But You have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with Your anointed.

But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

Yahweh saw and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

With which your enemies have mocked, Yahweh, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.

You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, and no fields of offerings; For there the shield of the mighty was defiled and cast away, The shield of Saul was not anointed with oil.

Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies.“ Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

My God will cast them away, because they didn’t listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.

When God heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel,

I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

Therefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant.Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,won’t God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness’ sake.

The Lord has cast off his altar. He has abhorred his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in Yahweh’s house, as in the day of a solemn assembly.

“ Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?

When the kingdom of Rehoboam was established and he was strong, he abandoned Yahweh’s law, and all Israel with him.In the fifth year of king Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had trespassed against Yahweh,with twelve hundred chariots, and sixty thousand horsemen. The people were without number who came with him out of Egypt: the Lubim, the Sukkiim, and the Ethiopians.He took the fortified cities which belonged to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, who were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them,“ Yahweh says,‘ You have forsaken me, therefore I have also left you in the hand of Shishak.’”Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said,“ Yahweh is righteous.”When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.Nevertheless they will be his servants, that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.”So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures of Yahweh’s house and the treasures of the king’s house. He took it all away. He also took away the shields of gold which Solomon had made.King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king’s house.As often as the king entered into Yahweh’s house, the guard came and bore them, then brought them back into the guard room.When he humbled himself, Yahweh’s wrath turned from him, so as not to destroy him altogether. Moreover, there were good things found in Judah.

You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would like to reason the cause with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are they all at ease who deal very treacherously?

God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Yahweh, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, under his shadow we will live among the nations.

but if he says,‘ I have no delight in you;’ behold, here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”

Haven’t you, God, rejected us? You don’t go out with our armies, God.
