幽暗之域、孰能仰爾經綸兮、百事消亡之所、誰得播揚爾仁義兮、

在幽暗之中、豈能明主之奇行、在死亡之地、死亡之地原文作百事被忘之地豈能知主之公義、

氣絕已吞聲。寧能揚令譽。頌聲淪幽冥。雅音絕邱墓。

Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?

Are your wonderful deeds known in that dark place? Are your holy acts known in that land where the dead are forgotten?

Are your wonders known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Will your wonders be known in the darkness or your righteousness in the land of oblivion?

Will Your wonders be made known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Will Your wonders be known in the darkness or Your righteousness in the land of oblivion?

Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Are your amazing deeds experienced in the dark region, or your deliverance in the land of oblivion?

Are your wonders made known in the dark? Or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered.

and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.

I am ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot.

But many Israelites— those for whom the Kingdom was prepared— will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.

For the wise and the foolish both die. The wise will not be remembered any longer than the fool. In the days to come, both will be forgotten.

I have seen wicked people buried with honor. Yet they were the very ones who frequented the Temple and are now praised in the same city where they committed their crimes! This, too, is meaningless.

They have left me among the dead, and I lie like a corpse in a grave. I am forgotten, cut off from your care.

My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave.

before I leave— never to return— for the land of darkness and utter gloom.It is a land as dark as midnight, a land of gloom and confusion, where even the light is dark as midnight.’”
