Certainly it will be said about Zion,“ This nation and that nation were born in it. The Most High God himself will make it secure.”

And of Zion it shall be said,“ This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her.

Regarding Jerusalem it will be said,“ Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.

And it will be said of Zion,“ This one and that one were born in her.” The Most High himself will establish her.

But of Zion it will be said,“ This one and that one were born in her”; And the Most High Himself will establish her.

And of Zion it will be said,“ This one and that one were born in her; And the Most High Himself shall establish her.”

Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; And the Most High himself will establish her.

And it will be said of Zion,“ This one and that one were born in her.” The Most High Himself will establish her.

And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

But it is said of Zion’s residents,“ Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure.”

Yes, of Zion it will be said,“ This one and that one was born in her;” the Most High himself will establish her.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Jesus replied,“ Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”“ How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked.“ Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”Jesus answered,“ Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets,who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised,since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

“ The distance all around will be 18,000 cubits.“ And the name of the city from that time on will be: the Lord is there.”

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.For,“ All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

“ Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.“ Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip.Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.“ Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.Some will say,‘ I belong to the Lord’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand,‘ The Lord’s,’ and will take the name Israel.

As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever.
