Indeed, of Zion it will be said,“ This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.”

Certainly it will be said about Zion,“ This nation and that nation were born in it. The Most High God himself will make it secure.”

Regarding Jerusalem it will be said,“ Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.

What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

Jesus replied,“ I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”“ But how can anyone be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked Him.“ Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born?”Jesus answered,“ I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

And what more can I say? Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength after being weak, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.Women received their dead— they were raised to life again. Some men were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection,and others experienced mockings and scourgings, as well as bonds and imprisonment.They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they died by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, and mistreated.The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and on mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.

The perimeter of the city will be six miles, and the name of the city from that day on will be: Yahweh Is There.”

Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God( the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering,to the assembly of the firstborn whose names have been written in heaven, to God who is the Judge of all, to the spirits of righteous people made perfect,to Jesus( mediator of a new covenant), and to the sprinkled blood, which says better things than the blood of Abel.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.

They will sprout among the grass like poplars by flowing streams.This one will say,‘ I am the Lord’s’; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; still another will write on his hand,‘ The Lord’s,’ and name himself by the name of Israel.”

Just as we heard, so we have seen in the city of Yahweh of Hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it forever. Selah
