In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior.

Lord, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your discipline was upon them.

I called on Your name, Lord, Out of the lowest pit.You have heard my voice,“ Do not cover Your ear from my plea for relief, From my cry for help.”You came near on the day I called to You; You said,“ Do not fear!”

I cry out with my voice to the Lord; With my voice I implore the Lord for compassion.

He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
