“ But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.

But my people did not obey me; Israel did not submit to me.

But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.

Has a nation ever changed its gods?( Yet they are not gods at all.) How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (niv)

“ But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. (niv)

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. (niv)
