Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

地上行讞鞫。良善蒙恩撫。

Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

Your anger against sinners brings you praise. Those who live through your anger gather to worship you.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.

Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon.

Even human wrath will praise you; you will clothe yourself with the wrath that remains.

For the wrath of mankind shall praise You; You will encircle Yourself with a remnant of wrath.

Certainly your angry judgment upon men will bring you praise; you reveal your anger in full measure.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh,“ For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?Come, and let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites, and not let our hand be on him; for he is our brother, our flesh.” His brothers listened to him.Midianites who were merchants passed by, and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. The merchants brought Joseph into Egypt.

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. My hand will destroy them.’You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.Who is like you, Yahweh, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today.

The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice and the earth melted.

When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying,“ Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off his hands.The angel said to him,“ Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him,“ Put on your cloak and follow me.”And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.When Peter had come to himself, he said,“ Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”Thinking about that, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.When Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.When she recognized Peter’s voice, she didn’t open the gate for joy, but ran in, and reported that Peter was standing in front of the gate.They said to her,“ You are crazy!” But she insisted that it was so. They said,“ It is his angel.”But Peter continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw him, and were amazed.But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said,“ Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.When Herod had sought for him, and didn’t find him, he examined the guards, then commanded that they should be put to death. He went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.

Now I know that Yahweh is greater than all gods because of the way that they treated people arrogantly.”

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”He arose and took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt,and was there until the death of Herod; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,“ Out of Egypt I called my son.”Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent out, and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the wise men.

They saw him afar off, and before he came near to them, they conspired against him to kill him.They said to one another,“ Behold, this dreamer comes.Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say,‘ An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints, and those who fear your name, to the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’“ For truly, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed,to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.
