主昔導民。經彼遐荒。

耶和華由火中降臨於西乃山、煙燄四塞、如自洪爐出、山嶽震動。

三日黎明、雷電交作、黑雲蔽山、角鳴甚厲、遍營之民、無不戰慄。

耶和華自西耳地出、由以東田來、斯時也、地震天漏、密雲零雨。於以色列族上帝耶和華前、山嶽震撼、西乃其頹。

爾見遍山晦冥、厥火炎炎、聲由中出、爾既聞之、與族長長老至我前、曰、我之上帝耶和華、顯厥大榮、俾我目睹、我聞其聲、由火中出、今日始知上帝與人言、人尚保其生命。如我仍聽我上帝耶和華之言、則此大火、必燬我身、我將死亡、爾曷為使我死亡乎。

狂飆飄颻、霹靂震轟、寰宇輝光、大地搖撼兮、

昔爾行異跡、出我望外、臨格自天、山岡震動。

貨財藏於密室、我以之錫爾、俾爾知命爾名者、乃我耶和華以色列族之上帝。

上帝兮、在彼聖所、有威可畏、以色列族之上帝、展厥能力、以助民人、宜讚美之兮。

上帝殿在天、其時四闢、見殿中有主約匱、大聲雷轟電掣、地震雨雹、甚矣哉、

望爾闢穹蒼而臨格、山嶽震動。

爾出而救民、沐以膏者、必加手援、惡黨之長、爾加誅戮、毀其城垣、露其址基、

以色列族之上帝耶和華、當頌美之、永世靡暨、心所願兮、

雅各之上帝耶和華、以磐為沼、以石為泉、大地亦必震動於其前兮。
